These are tough.... 60mph ejection and survives!

So yesterday my Optimus falls out of my pocket at 60 MPH on my motorcycle. We find all the parts, put it back together, and it works fine!!

THEN!!!!!!!!!!

My dumb self drops it back into my pocket, and takes off. Well, there was a hole in the pocket (new jeans too, go figure) and it falls out a second time....

This time, more damage, and I couldn't find the back plate, but iut still works, all features fine, and the screen isn't even cracked (tho there is a small chip in it)

so, anyone have a back they are not using?
 
My son's iPhone fell out of his shirt pocket as he was boarding the elevator at his work. It slipped through the floor crack, at the bottom of the sliding elevator door, and fell nine floors to the concrete basement floor.

The phone was in an Otter Box and it worked just fine. Only damage was a few small scratches to the OtterBox case.

All of our phones are now wearing OtterBoxes.
 
I can attest to its toughness too. The other day my optimus v fell out of my pants pocket onto the road pavement while I ran across the street. The back, the battery and the microsd card all scattered on the ground. Luckily I was able to pick up all the pieces before the next vehicle came by, and the phone escaped with a couple of scratches on the corners and a tiny chip in the black area at the top of the screen. Pheew

I bet if you contacted the right person at LG they would be VERY interested to make a commercial of what happened...

So far as a backplate- If you were to relay what happened to support and got a cool person I would think they could cough up a backplate @ no charge..
