but browsing around the settings i have found a few things you all may interested in...

Turning off Mobile Data:

Menu > System Settings > Data Usage > Mobile Data

Limiting Background Apps

This is a feature built in to ICS

Menu > System Settings > Developer Options > scroll down to Background process limit

set it to whatever you please...but be warned you may mess things up...and don't blame me

Easy way of figuring out what can be uninstalled

Click the gear icon in the upper right corner when in the app drawer...apps that can be uninstalled will have a red circle with an X on the top right of the icon

you can edit the quick toggle bar in the notification pull down screen

scroll it all the way to the right and click "edit"

setup face unlock

Menu > Lockscreen Options

Turn off capacitative buttons backlight

this will increase your battery life...and it's already in a setting

Menu > System Settings > Display > Font Key Light and click the box :)

i'm sure i'll find more and i will update this as i find more...

yes...i know that...i was the one who posted the thread on how to uninstall/disable apps...like that one says...EASY way to figure out what can be uninstalled...EASY is the key word

Thanks.

On the home screen I placed an additional app down with the 4 existing quick keys (phone, contacts, messaging, apps) and now I can't figure out how to get it out of there.

I would like to find out how :)

click and hold until you get a little vibration and then you can drag it out of the dock

I thought that would be it too but doesn't work, no vibration and not letting me move it.

It's the calendar if that makes a difference.

well...i tried about 4 different apps right now...and they all were able to dock and remove...press and hold...don't move your finger at all...if that doesn't work i don't know what will...download a different launcher...Nova and Apex are both decent

Can you move out the stock quick key apps as well, or only the ones that you added to the original four. Thanks.

Crazy, I don't know...in the meantime I've managed to add a sixth app to the quick keys that's also now stuck lol.

Thanks for letting me know how it should be working.

Powered off and restarted and now I'm good to go.

How many times is that sh*t the answer lol.

Thanks much for letting me know what I should be looking for.

Rebooting is a powerful tool - from windows to routers and even my toaster oven - now if I could only remember to go that route early I'd be way ahead :)

If you hold down (long press) an app you don't want at the bottom, you drag it UP, rather than down, and a trash can symbol will appear. Drag it there.

Yeah, very few peripherals....even when new/few apps installed/with scads of memory/storage...
...don't run into problems by using up all available resources.
A nice script to reboot ones phone daily, say after hours, Would be real helpful for that n any frozen process, etc.
(Fuzzy get working on this :p )

switch it to 3 and then start a whole bunch of programs and instead of backing out go to the home screen...and then go to task manager...it should only have the most recent 3 running...

it saves RAM mostly...nothing amazing or horribly noticeable but something worth mentioning IMO

write your own script for that...it's rather easy...or you could use ROM Toolbox to do so...in the Script Manager section..

try looking around and checking stuff out :) it's Android...pretty easy to figure stuff out

A LOT!
Although it's only been a few hours...& I've recently cleaned house re app hoarding, I've gone from 400+ to way less than 100.
Let's see how everything holds up over time...and when out of resources arrives

Keep me updated I'm thinking about doing it. Oh and how about battery life any improvements?
