Hi my HTC phone started with problem last week with

Launching car panel all time but managed to stop it running.
Then problem with trying to charge my phone.
Then speaker coming on in call
Phone would not go to sleep and had to change time to sort that one out.
Then lost my wallpaper.

I phoned HTC up and the suggested to reset to factory setting.
My phone has been ok up to now. Still problem charging but think need a new charger

Has anyone had any of these problems and reset to factory settings worked or have they returned and need to send phone away for repair.

I had something similar, in that when ever I plugged my car charger in, it switched to Car Panel automatically and put phone on Loudspeaker. It turned out to be the fact that I was using a mini usb car charger with a mini to micro adapter, and that was configured slightly differently. As soon as I used a standard USB car charger, with a normal cable it went back to normal.

When you say launching car panel all the time, how did you solve that? That can sometimes be caused by the Launch Car Panel automatically option being checked and there being dirt/foreign objects in the USB Port (or even a faulty port). I'll see if I can find the thread if you like?

If you're having issues charging, then as the charger uses that port, it could be connected. Regarding the screen coming on, have you got your phone set to keep the screen on when charging?
