Root Thinking about a mod for the dialer.

Something that irks me about the new dialer is opening it up and then having to manually open the dial pad. I love the layout but I would rather have to close the dial pad than open it. Yes it's something trivial I know.

I'm sure not a lot of people would be interested or even care about this but I'm hoping that someone will take interest with me and figure out how to have the dial pad already open when the dialer app is opened.

I'm hoping it's something as simple as changing around a command in the xml. A true or false would be great.

Anyone with the know wanna tinker with me?

You're right. I hadn't noticed that before since it's not on a carrier yet. I wonder why they did that.

I don't know. I guess to quick dial your recent calls without the dialer. But even with the dialer open you can quick call your recent 3 calls.

Also maybe to further safeguard against pocket dialing? I wonder if they'll change it.

I don't know. I'd much rather swipe down to close it than click to open it. I open the dialer app for the dialer haha

Yes that is my issue with the dialer! Coming from HTC One, I had it where the phone would open to half screen the dialer the top half was call history. I really don't like having to open the dialer.
