Thinking about buying an unlocked Note

Zenith49

Lurker
and I've been looking on ebay at used ones. I've noticed that there are at least two different model numbers that I've encountered - the n7000 international and the i717 which appears to be US domestic. Wikipedia says that the difference between them is that the n7000 has a slightly faster processor, but they are otherwise the same. Is that the case? I've also seen some marked as i717 LTE. What does that really mean? I thought they were all 4g capable.

I plan on using this phone on a no contract system, so I assume 4g will not be possible even if the phone is capable. Will I still get updates to the os?

Are there any gotchas I should be aware of?

Thanks so much
Z.

like howard said, go for n7000 if in uk or europe.

and yes, you will get os updates if it's unbranded and unlocked.

The n7000 is gsm I think. The lte version is cdma. Im sure that's the difference. So depends what carrier you're on as to which phone to get
