Thinking about buying, any big problems?

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about upgrading to the HTC Incredible. Are there any big problems you guys have noticed with the Incredible? Specifically, a short battery life, difficulty typing, those sort of things. I just wanna make sure I won't regret this purchase.

Thanks!

Whats your budget? I'd wait on the newer phones coming out if I were you, especially since the Incredible has been out for over a year now and you'd be stuck with it for another 20 months.

Well the main reason I'm asking is because I found a guy on eBay who is selling select Verizon phones for ten dollars with the two year contract renewal (I guess he's selling them as an agent for Verizon or something). I don't need the latest and greatest, just looking for a solid phone that isn't gonna fail on me.

I picked mine up in Jan. Two years is a bit long on a phone that's already discontinued. I got mine on a one year contract that's up in November. The Incredible 2 is unimpressive. They added a front camera and a world SIM card that's not good on local GSM networks. They upped the RAM but knocked off 7GB of internal memory. If you have to sign a two year deal I'd look elsewhere. But I REALLY do love the incredible. My wife has a Thunderbolt and she's jealous of the form factor and lightness of the incredible. If you don't care about having the latest and you don't change phones often, it's a great phone.

You can even get it for 0.01 through Amazon (Amazon.com: HTC DROID INCREDIBLE Android Phone (Verizon Wireless): Cell Phones & Accessories)

Like I said, if that is within your budget and you don't want to spend more, then yes its a fine phone for that price. But remember that you are stuck with it for atleast another 20 months

I got my Dinc just two months ago knowing full well that it was near the end of life and that newer phones were coming out soon and I have no regrets. For what I use my phone for, the Dinc is more phone than I need and will easily last me for the next two years. So if you are not a power hungry user and the price is right, then I would say the Dinc is still a good buy. However, if you are a power user and\or need to have the latest and greatest and can afford it, then I agree with what others have said....you should pay the extra for one of the newer phones.

Recently got a used Incredible to supplement an Eris.

Pros: Fast, big sharp screen.

Cons: Form factor (not as comfortable as the Eris), design (power button on top, power connection on side?!), battery life.

I actually prefer the Eris, especially after rooted with xtrSense, which made it pretty snappy. And 2.2 doesn't do anything for me that 2.1 didn't.
