Ah, ok.

I don't quite like the way it organizes the music. It puts it in a folder called iSYNCR rather than Music. This may not be a big deal to most that don't have music on their device already in the Music folder.

It's easy to move the music files to another folder if you prefer (tho android will find them anywhere). I also use the iSyncr wifi add on and it let's you choose your own default folder to sync to.

For those of us with external cards, and perhaps even for those with just the internal storage -- I think we are just looking for a few songs and photos to import over.

It would be impossible to port over huge libraries with the limited storage space.

Even better to do it without synving then.

If something goes wrong with one of my phones or iPads I simply call apple on the phone or go directly to the apple store and replace that product for free. I don't know any other company I can do that with. I can't with Rim, not with windows, not with android.

I was thinking about using a G3 for business or personal and the iPhone for the other. I was a little disappointed when 4s came out and I have been using ios6 since the first beta release and now beta 4. To be honest, it's the same iOS.

I don't know what I'll do yet, obviously I will wait till Wed to see what is announced and more that likely I will buy the next iPhone, just not sure if I'll buy two or split between S3.

I do think many people overlook the customer service that apple offers. It's unbeatable so far.

You nailed the reason why many people are now turning to Android ahead of the iPhone 5 release.

If the leaked photos and specs are indeed true, the new iPhone about to be announced is nothing revolutionary. Same 'ol iPhone with a taller (but not wider) screen.

It works, because there is NOTHING the user can do with it. Same way dumbphones completely locked up work.

As far as I know at least 25% warranty claims are turned away by Apple because of water damage.

I have replaced my iphone at least two times a year beacuse I break them in my line of work. I do have Apple Care that cost me $99 but well worth it. I dont have to send it to the company and wait for a return or pay some fixit place to fix my phone. I walk into Apple and leave with a replacement within 30 min. That has happened to me at least two times a year for the past two years.

By no means am I saying that Apple is the way to go instead of Andriod i'm just saying customer service plays a bigger role than people give it credit for. I think the G3 looks amazing and I will wait till after this Wed to decide.

You pay for it, you do not get it for free. I bet you can find a service like that ofr other manufacturers,maybe not from the manufacturer themselves, but some 3rd party.

It's a support forum for a very powerful smartphone, so of course people will ask questions about battery life and how they can improve it or make the most of it. I'm sorry but the SG3's battery is really, really good.

You just can't expect a smartphone with a quad core processor and such a big beautiful screen to blast at full capacity and expect good battery life.

The US versions have a dual-core but twice the RAM as the international version. Both have better battery life than the iPhone 4/4s.

I, like you have been a dedicated Mac owner. I currently have a iPhone 4s, iMac, iPad, MacBook, and apple tv. The only thing stopping me from trying the GS3 is the ability to sync my iTunes music collection and photos to the GS3. Tell me, how hard is it to do ? Is there a good sync program available for Android ? If I can't easily sync my stuff to the GS3, it would be a deal breaker. Any help or advice would be appreciated ! Thanks !(

Just sync the music with Google Play Music (stores it in the cloud, you entire collection) and use Google Picasa to sync your photo's.

That's an interesting thought. I will look into it and see if that works for me. You know, that app called Easy Phone Sync would be the answer if it were released in the US. What is the hold up ? If Samsung is serious about converting iPhone users over to the GS3, they better hurry with some good sync options for iTunes. So many of my iOS friends feel the same way I do and would convert in a heartbeat.

I know a couple, whose wife moved from an iPhone 4 to a gs3, fell in love with the big screen and never looked back. Her husband is now looking at the note 2, because he now sees the advantage of bigger screens.

From the rumours, the iphone5, will have a 4 inch screen, no Google maps or dedicated YouTube application. But it is worthwhile waiting to see what Appears do come up with.

With all due respect to the great people I have just met on this forum and who have already replied to you....

Perhaps I am a person you would like to hear from.

A week ago I switched from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S3. It was one of the most frustrating decisions I have had to make in quite some time given the fact that I have been an iPhone owner for the past 6 years since its introduction. I am also a hardcore Mac owner who demands that all my devices work in sync with each other.

I made the switch 2.5 weeks prior to the announcement of iPhone 5. It was a risky move, but with all the leaks that have come out about the new phone from Apple, I don't think many are impressed. It's basically the same phone, but taller (not wider). It has the same tired iOS with improvements that Android phones have already.

That's the main reason I wanted to switch to the Samsung Galaxy. I was bored. In fact, I was an avid jailbreaker with iPhone as I enjoyed customizing it as much as possible. With the Android system, there is no need to jailbreak/root to customize to your heart's content.

Am I 100% satisfied with the Galaxy S3? Not quite. I think battery life on this phone is horrendous. Take a look across this forum and you'll see the #1 complaint is battery. I am going to be purchasing a second battery for my GS3, but fear of being laughed at when I change the battery in front of friends. In this age, one shouldn't need to change a battery within a full day's of use. Of course, mileage may vary as many members here claim they have no problems.

If you are a Mac owner, getting everything to sync properly can be done, but with workarounds. Sadly, I lose the convenience of having iOS work perfectly with the Mac OS.

On the other hand, I am doing things with the Galaxy S3 that I never thought of doing on the iPhone. I'm selecting ringtones for individual programs. I am putting Widgets on my various screens. I'm sharing pictures and videos in ways I couldn't before. I even added a 64GB external memory card to my phone -- something the iPhone doesn't even allow.

I think it's confirmed that the S3 runs circles around the i5.

Finz, just how much easier does it need to be? The only real problem you have are the choices of programs to use for music, sync'ing with iTunes, and all the custom stuff you can do that Apple doesn't have.

Thanks Captain ! I am pretty much decided that I WILl be switching to the S3 or Galaxy note 2 when it is released. I will use my iPhone 4s as my media hub, I'll still use iTunes / iPhone for my music and picture needs. I don't want to carry 2 devices but that may be my best option.

Has anyone used or played with a Galaxy Note ? The note 2 looks awesome, I just wonder how big it really is and if it looks ridiculous talking on it or carrying it.

We don't even know the specs the A6 used the iPhone 5 yet but chances are it will have a decent enough CPU, the GPU will almost certainly run circles around the one in the Galaxy S3 without breaking a sweat.

Of course not, but when comparing the specs that matter, the iPhone 5 is a great phone, just a shame about iOS.

Basically the phone (hardware) is great and the software is too limiting but that will always be the case with iPhones. It's ok to at least recognise the phone itself is a very nice piece of kit.

To OP = no offense but why the heck would you make any decision that included consideration of iPhone without waiting a FEW DAYS to see what the IP5 really is?

BC I bored of iOS and having to Jailbreak my iPhone after 5 years, iOS6 and the ip5 is the same as the 4S minus some minor upgrades.

I think that Apple moving away from Google maps is a negative thing and Siri doesn't work all the time

How do you know i5 hardware is great if there is no real information about it and no one has tested it?
