Thinking ICS for Bionic might be in SOAK

This along with some people who claim to have sources inside suddenly going silent saying they are giving out what they can without saying what they know along with this article seems to point to the fact ICS for Bionic is done.
Also, Moto itself saying it is out of development and is currently in testing seems to point to it as well.
Much of the Bionic development community suddenly went silent Friday, that's for sure.
I don't know if it is true or not for sure but thinking everything is pointing to it.

One can certainly hope, although at this point I'm at the "I'll believe when I see it" stage.

The bigger question is, will Verizon do something a month after ICS is launched that causes the data drops to come back, just as we saw with 902.
 
The article is interesting but his Motorola Rep which states the update will be out in September is a Chat Rep? How often have they been correct with their information....call 10 times get 10 different answers. Also, that site, Gottebemobile, just likes to pump out rumors and junk in order to populate google's search results! For god sake, search "droid bionic ice cream sandwich" and his site nearly fills the whole first page of the google results! Plus it is clear in his (Adam's) profile that he loves his apple products!

I hope for the rest of us Bionic owners that the update will come in September, but I will not jump on it as soon as it is released, even if I am part of a soak, until I see whether root can be achieved. I am looking forward to ICS but I love my root. Besides I am using .232 right now with root which should hold me over and keep me content until the OTA is rooted.

I don't put much faith in Adam Mills as he's a big time out of touch Motorola baching Apple fan boy, but these sources seem much higher than a regular service rep. Could be right, could be wrong but I don't think I'm wrong.....
 
I email them a few days ago and they told me that the update is expected for Q3

After mulling it over a few days I'm confident .242 is going to be the SOAK so I'm putting my money where my mouth is, I'll just have to use the HOB method if it isn't. :(
