thinking of gettting the lightning ROM.. a few questions

ok so i have been reading on the download page that loading this ROM via odin does not tamper with any of my apps or data is this true . i have just got the sim free s2 (uk) and want to do a bit of modifying but i dont want to lose anything thats on it now . on my previous handset (desire) the camera did not work to its full potential after loading a custROM. will the camera still perform as it is now on my s2 1080 etc , does this ROM just add to what i got now ?

also any good kernals you could recommend

and i have been reading about different modems any preference to which one ??

also on this device connection seems to be more 3g rather than h or h+, my desire always without fail was h ......what could be causing that .... should my phone be set to gsm . wcdma or auto gsm/wcdma

Yeah lite'ning rom will not make you loose any apps or data. Also if you go for lite'ning 3.2 you don't really have to worry about kernels or modems as the most recent are automatically loaded when you flash. Well they were the most recent yesterday but theres probably a new kernel out by now.

I have mine set to wcdma, which seemed to increase browsing performance

another question how do i get clockwork mod recovery i cant find a download anywhere ? do you know ?

will the kernal that comes with lightning be overclockable

Clockwork mod gets installed automatically when you flash.

I havn't tried to overclock so I'm not sure about that
