Root Third Wave

The only ROM I've ever flashed was Second Wave ROM. Here's my question. I've done backups of the Second Wave ROM and it's working well. If I flash this one and I don't like it, can I just go back and restore at the point prior to flashing this ROM and it will put everything back?

Why spend the time removing the crapware and applying fixes when its already done for you.

This is nothing special. It doesn’t have a fancy name like SkyFroyo, Refrozen, or whatever. The build.prop doesn’t say by “insert name”.
This is just a rom I use for myself that I thought others may, or may not, enjoy.

There is not a question as to whether you should wipe before installing, just dooooooo it.

OTA leak or updated radio must be installed prior to this rom if you want working camera and camcorder.

Changes from stock leaked Froyo version 2:

Market fixed!
32m vm heap by default.
zipaligned.
deodexed.
Removed stocks apk, and widget.
Removed lame Verizon drivers prompt when connected via USB
Removed skype.
Removed my Verizon app.
Removed city ID properly.
Removed amazon mp3.
Busybox installed.
Superuser 2.3 installed.
Removed flash. Can be reinstalled from Market or via sw_files/hulu_install folder on sd card.

Differences from last tweaked version (Second wave):
Hopefully fixed Froyo market install bug where it tries to put crap on sd card by default.
Scripts should now be able to run via /system/etc/init.d on boot.
Basic file manager included. Will only read sd card.
New scripts to automate tasks, so that the rom is a better fit for everyone.

Scripts
Can be run from within Android, or via ADB.

sysro -Mounts system as read only and syncs the OS (not data sync)
sysrw- Mounts system as read write
rem_vvm- removes visual voice mail
rem_hot- removes 3G hotspot
rem_ba- removes backup assistant (Make sure no accounts are configured for it, beforehand. Very important!)
v_lock- removes HTC lockscreen
rem_foot- removes HTC Footprints

--HTC Messaging app has been included again because it was just breaking too many other features.

I know, I am running slow.

Hang on, I just heard the door slam.

*Goes and looks*

Ah, nevermind, that was just my ass dragging in.

Pain.

Pain?

Pain!

I always have to get these deep cleanings done, and they siphon at least a pint of blood from in the process.

its been a while... didn't feel like dealign with the big all in one rom... thanks for this... just minor tweaks make me happy to spend the time to update to this....

How come. The latest should work without a hitch.

The ad hoc version won't work, because I didn't include the files needed for it (didnt see a need).

I was really hoping for an independent FrankenROM update, but I'll give this a shot.

Just installed it and downloading the latest Hydra Kernal as I type this. I'll pop back in with any issues or hiccups, should I run into any.

I'm with him. Figured if enough people wanted it, we could give Adrynalye more work to do. Since I'm sure he has nothing else better to do. JK brother.. we all love what you do for us.
