Accessories This charger for using satnav on phone ?

I've read several topics about the car chargers for the htc desire and that some do charge whilst using navigation apps and others not enough and despite having it plugged it the battery will still go down.

I've got a long drive coming up friday and need to run Copilot on my desire so i'll need a charger that doesn't go down whilst in use, will this one do :

The charger you mention worked fine with my Desire whilst on satnav.... powered the phone all the way for my 200+ mile journey. Be warned the phone did get quite warm !

I bought a relativly cheap cig lighter cable from Maplin and that charges at mains current. Havent got it with me so cant advise the part number

I live in the UK but I want to take it for a trip to the USA. I take it all cars have the same connection socket in the car?

I've found that if using Google Navigation then it doesn't matter what type of charger it is but when using CoPilot it has to be an A/C charger otherwise it loses charge while navigating.
