I have a rooted Optimus V and I installed the Rom Manager, which installed ClockWorkMod, well I read through many posts and tutorials about how to get the phone rooted and how to get it ready to install a Roms, MOST of ALL the tutorials leave out command lines and arent pin point like they should be and will brick alot of phones. I tried and tried to get ClockWorkMod to install roms and that was a joke! I replaced ClockWorkMod with Xionia CWMA v12518.6, I installed it through adb shell command. It over wrote the ClockWorkMod. JUST BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP once you install Xionia!
That loader worked like a pro. It has install about every Rom I have thrown at it.
I think that I downloaded Rom Manager and installed the Xionia CWMA after the RM install. It erases ClockWorkMod thankfully. I installed NIGHTLY update-cm-7 with NO issues.
VERY important!!!!! Once you install a Rom and if it sits at the load screen/boot flash screen and freezes, restart your phone, go into Xionia bootloader and wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition and it should run after you reboot.
I hope that all my messing around with this can help someone cause I coulsnt find out anything other than trial and error. Let me know if this helps you out. Thanks.
