this is how a evo screen bust

Even with insurance they still wont help u.. its a hundrend dollars for deductible and its back ordered 2 weeks, she got the phone on friday when it came out, and broke it on monday
Asurion's site shows the Evo in stock.

Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

That made me shed a tear.

Do they make any cases or holders that "snap" over the screen to shield it during a fall?

All the more reason to have insurance. If my phone got damaged like that, I'm sure I'll get a replacement w/o the deductable.

you guys want to know something very stupid the phone still works great lol the touch screen still works and pieces of glass are fallig out of the screen so ther haves to be a replacement screen but we got it on friday and phone drop on sunday on the otherhand i got a palm pre i drop if from 4ft on to concreate and just a hairline crack but the evo drops 1/foot and busttttttttttttttttt lol everyone get a case for your evo

oh ya when we got the phone had to pay 400 people in sprint store said they will give it to us free after 2 housers in the sprint store we get the phone then they want 29,99 for a case it was paper thin rubby case so it would of been good free but not for 30 it would not save the phone lol

how bout this one? my buddy was putting his iPhone 3GS in his pants pocket after sending his wife a text... she replied back right as he started to put it in his pocket, making it vibrate right out of his hands and on to the "stone tiled floor"

took these images with my Evo...
if anyone can tell me how to make these appear in the post, and not full size, I'll change it, but they are freaking huge...

Im dreading the day I drop this phone for the first time. I never drop my phone but thats why I have TEP even though deductibles blow.

Sadly I feel your pain. Dropped mine a few days after getting it. Even had a Seidio case on it but the stupid thing landed perfectly flat face down. I have insurance but as you found out Asurion had none. Mine actually finally shipped out today. I've used the phone since I dropped it, shattered screen and all. I achieved this by making using of an awesome screen protector; packing tape :D. Was actually the only way I could use it without getting some awesome glass shards in my fingers. What's really sad is I have a Touch Pro 2 sitting in my room that I refused to switch back to until my replacement Evo gets here.

same situation here except my phone isn't truly shattered, just cracked. o well new phone tomorrow

Aw lame! I remember when iPhone came out and seeing these kinds of pics. This is why I suck up the $7 a month in insurance. Big glass screens are great but they make me paranoid.
