This phone sucks! EDIT does not suck anymore!

Yea...just get a new phone. Thats the only thing you can do. I recommend the Rezound if you are staying on Verizon.

In the mean time...I will enjoy my phone that really really sucks. :D Just know your experience...if it isnt network related...is in the extreme minority. Woulda been nice if someone at your table had another Verizon LTE phone to rule out the LTE network.

I am thinking that it is the LTE network. You are right i wish that someone else did have a 4G phone.

The Motorola Razr Maxx sucks bigtime! I wish I could just go back to my OG Droid.
I cant even watch a YouTube video because this phone or the network just plain sucks right now. Smart actions is a joke. And i really could go on and on.
Pretty harsh words for such an awesome device. You must have gotten a bad one, happens sometimes.
I have no issue with youtube vids and I don't even have 4G where I live.
Maybe you should get a Sam's Hung. Their RF is worse, but, oh well.
Sorry, but you sound like a kid who spent all his allowance money and had some super expectations. Curious, did you check it in store first? Do any research? :p

I tried them all. None worked. So I called Verizon. They sent me a replacement phone.

On Easter Sunday, I went out to dinner with some family. We heard a song being played over the speakers. Someone asked who sang the song. So I bust out my phone to Shazam the song. My new Razr Maxx wouldn't get connection. So five other people at the table busted out their phones and promptly told me who sang the song. My wife was sitting right next to me with her Verizon droid X. Her sister had a Sprint Evo. Her cousin had a Verizon iPhone. Her husband had an old POS he too had connection. My phone was the only one that couldn't connect.

I take a train to work, my old droid would stay connected the entire time. This phone simply does not. I bought the phone because Verizon advertised 4g 10x faster blah blah.

THIS PHONE REALLY REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

User Error!! LOLOL

Are you sure you're not using a Galaxy Nexus!?! LOL J/K

But seriously, I hope you get this all resolved. This is really a great phone. Good luck

It might be worth trying to turn off 4G for a couple days and see if anything changes. I realize that defeats the purpose of buying a 4G phone, but it would be a good test to determine if 4G specifically is the culprit.

I was having issues with loss of data every now and then, but that has gotten a lot better lately. And normally when it happened to me, I would have my wife's Maxx right next to me with 4 bars 4G. So it wasn't network in my case.

It took a while and a couple of phones. But I finally got a new phone and new sd cards and sim cards and this phone is AWESOME.

I can finally see why people were so incredulous when I made the initial post.

I am really very happy with this phone thank you to everyone for their suggestions.

This phone is hands down the best phone on Verizon. Motorblur is not as intrusive as it used to be, I use the default launcher on this phone! Battery life alone makes this phone worth it. My cousin was trying to load up a video on his iPhone was getting really frustrated with how slow the 3G was. I handed him my Razr Maxx and told him to watch how the big boys do it. The video loaded in 2 seconds.

For what its worth.....

After 2 exchanges that's the fault of the phone.....I move on to another model or manufacture. Even with what we read about the Verizon G Nex in forums....some folks say after a few exchanges its all good.

I dont think I can do it. I'm on my 2nd Rezound and I'm all but thru with ever using HTC again...lol. I do wanna try that One X tho. Hopefully Verizon gets a One X cousin and not a One S version.

I wouldn't count on it...sadly i think the incredible 4g lte is the closest thing we're gonna get to the one x

Would you mind comparing the RAZR and the Rezound for me? I am picking up on of those phones this afternoon and I would like some help making my decision. My main question is, does the Rezound have the better Camera for quick shots of my kids? And How much in the way of Reception/Voice Quality would I be giving up compared to the RAZR?

Never had the Rezound, but the Maxx's camera is surprisingly quick. It shocked me when it took pics so fast, especially when coming from the Droid X. Test them out at the store yourself to see what you prefer. For me, Moto can't be beat for reliability.

I give the Rezound the edge for camera quality. quick shots? Can't say right now, need to get home and compare them.

Reception, voice quality goes to the RAZR. How much you will be giving up by going with the Rezound...for me, I barely use my Rezound because of reception, call quality issues.
