The Motorola Razr Maxx sucks bigtime! I wish I could just go back to my OG Droid.
I cant even watch a YouTube video because this phone or the network just plain sucks right now. Smart actions is a joke. And i really could go on and on.
I called Verizon yesterday but their computers were down, what a noke their computers must be on their LTE network.

As other posters said, if you aren't liking the phone then return it.

And I just have to say that most other users of the phone are quite happy with it.
Did you want any actual help or advise, or did you just stop by to share your poorly typed opinion?

Yeah, can you help me get better connection? Can you help this phone get faster speed over wifi. Can you help this phone connect to my home and work wifi consistently?

This is a forum. People are allowed to rant. Sometimes every word isnt typed correctly either. Thank you grammar police.

In order
1) Depends on what's wrong with your connection. Not knowing what actual problem you're experiencing you can try some of the following: toggle airplane mode on and off, take the sim card out for a minute put it back in and reboot, toggle between the LTE setting off and on, run Motorola's "Restore Connectivity Settings" app.

2) get a fast internet connection for the wifi. assuming that isn't you're problem check if there is alot of other networks on/near the same channel as your's (there are some wifi analyzer apps on the market). check the network settings for the router, try changing the security protocol you're using. if you might be just losing the network signal try adjusting the antenna or moving the router.

it really sounds like you got a phone with a wonky radio. Either return it and get a Razr Maxx that isn't broken or get a different phone. And don't post on a for the Razr Maxx user trashing the phone without expecting some grief.

My signal on 4G is blazing fast. I've seen over 22mbps on Speedtest multiple times. My speed on wi-fi is slower, but that's a limitation of the connection not the phone. I don't use SmartActions a ton, but really like the rules that I have set up.

Maybe it's an LTE issue in your area? Or a phone issue...

I lose data connectivity now and then for a short period, but other than that don't have any complaints with this phone.

Like with any Verizon LTE phone right now....

Try a factory reset
Try a battery pull (in the case of the RAZR and Maxx reset with the power and volume buttons)
Try a new Maxx
Might be the sim card
Might be the network

Might need a different phone altogether.

Look around the different forum sections and see if there are many complaints like yours. Whatever you find will give you a better idea of your situation.

As others have stated take a deep breath and explain in detail what's going on and perhaps we can help. I can tell you that I see 30Mbps down and 15-20Mbps up on LTE and get 43/35 when connected to my wifi at home. The Razr/Maxx easily has the best radios on the market so you definitely have either a bad device or bad software. If its bad software there are plenty of ways to fix that. If its bad hardware ask for an exchange.

If your phone is working right, I dont know how you can say that ?

The battery life is flat out the best ever for a smartphone. The features, and fit are near perfect.
The only problem I have/had, is an occasional loss of data connectivity. Which is easily and quickly corrected. Its a VZW problem, and being corrected with next update.

But if your not happy, ditch it. But I think your opinion is in the minority. Reviews and users comments have been very good.

This is by far the best phone to date. To say otherwise, would prolly only come from an, ummmmm, apple fanboy? Haha. After 8 hours of being off the charger and with heavy use and a live wallpaper I am at 50% battery life. No reboots. No freezes. No glitches. This phone is amazing.

I tried them all. None worked. So I called Verizon. They sent me a replacement phone.

On Easter Sunday, I went out to dinner with some family. We heard a song being played over the speakers. Someone asked who sang the song. So I bust out my phone to Shazam the song. My new Razr Maxx wouldn't get connection. So five other people at the table busted out their phones and promptly told me who sang the song. My wife was sitting right next to me with her Verizon droid X. Her sister had a Sprint Evo. Her cousin had a Verizon iPhone. Her husband had an old POS he too had connection. My phone was the only one that couldn't connect.

I take a train to work, my old droid would stay connected the entire time. This phone simply does not. I bought the phone because Verizon advertised 4g 10x faster blah blah.

THIS PHONE REALLY REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea...just get a new phone. Thats the only thing you can do. I recommend the Rezound if you are staying on Verizon.

In the mean time...I will enjoy my phone that really really sucks. :D Just know your experience...if it isnt network related...is in the extreme minority. Woulda been nice if someone at your table had another Verizon LTE phone to rule out the LTE network.

Try reseating the Sim card, or take it out till it yells at you, put it back in and reboot. If that doesnt work get a new Sim card. If that doesn't work get a new phone. and before you assume that the razr maxx is a bad phone, remember its much more likely you're specific phone is broken or messed up

EDIT: I missread your post and I didn't realize you were the OP. I'm 90% sure I already gave you this advice and I see you got a replacement maxx already. So you can disregard most of my post, but I'll leave it up since it might help somebody else.

I was thinking about getting this phone but because of this one, isolated person with a problem I think I'll look elsewhere...not.
