Help This thing keeps dropping my calls randomly.!

I bougth an Atrix 2 like 3 weeks ago. Brand new, unlock it with an online code and al the bla bla bla...I rooted the phone but last week made the OTA update from att and loose the root.. Anyways thats just a briefing..

Problem is since 2 days ago Ive been noticing the phone randomly droops calls...I call the SAME number many times a day to ensure if the behavior is isolated to that number only and sometimes it will connect and some others will not...I just dont know what else to do with it.. Cant return it as I bought it on Ebay and I`m in Panama.

People on forums who experience this same problem dont post a workaround option.. All that everyone post is the problem itself and only that.

I hate the idea of factory reset as I will most likely loose everything and will spend like two days setting everything up.. But in the orther hand I cant just keep on with this any longer... A phone who has great features and power but lacks the MAIN feature a phone was made for is useless.

Please advise

I have had this happen to me a few times but I attributed it to my ear touching the screen and ending the call. I think the fail-safe for that sometimes lags. I have no fix for it either. Have you asked on the Motorola website forum?

Well, I went to the Moto forum and it seems the guys overthere are unaware of such issue. I cant tell for a fact I`m not the only one as Ive seen this issue on the internet for quite a lonmg time already.. All I can say is that it seems this all started since AT&T`s new update and the loos of my root preivileges.. On the other hand I dont believe root hsa anything to do with radio problems on the phone but just a guess.. Anyways I finally did factory reset and fiorst thing I tried was a phone call.. It seems to be working fine FOR NOW AT LEAST.. Will put everything back together and wil keep the post updated if anything new shows up.. I love this phone but this issue is something I cant skip.. Another thing.. Why does it get all hot when making calls and doing heavy browsing.?.. Never notice that beore but is it suppose to do that.?

Thje temperature seems o rise as more applications are used, especially those that are data-intensive. I was told this is normal.

Even after the factory reset the behavior continues.. What bothers me really its that its random.. It wont occur on an specific location or given situation but at any point.. Sometimes the call will droop and some others it wont even go through...I`m Dialing my house (which phone is right next to me as I write this) and on the first 3 attempts it will not connect the call. It will just say. "call ended" on the display 3 seconds after I attempted the call. Then yesterday I was speaking with a friend and the call dropped all of the sudden with no apparent reason.. Sick of this.. Anyone has any ideas.? Can't return phone

I think I can blaim all this to poor signal strength on the phone... Ive done my homework about this and it seems it has a lot to do with the signal strength on the device... Currently it goes from -99dBm to -101dBm which according to other sources of information ITS LIKE REALLY BAD...

So the next question is this... is there a way to increase the signal strength on this phone.?? Again I love this phone but if the main feature of a PHONE is missing it makes no sense...

I dont believe the carrier has anything to do as I had my blackberry Bold 2 back on December and it NEVER drooped a call on me.. I believe it has to do with the phone...(hopefully not hardware related)

Any advises on how to fix this.? Or a workaround at least.?

Thanks
