i want a different animated boot logo, anyone care to give a hand? all help is greatly appreciated phandroids.

Boot logos aren't animated, but boot animations are. Which are you looking for?

actually, i was looking for both! ill start with the logo, just want the red motorola logo. and help with the boot animation you lend would be greatly appreciated too.
 
I have about 20 or so animations and I got most from one list. I thought I had that page bookmarked but its not on my phone, I'll try and see if It's on my pc tonight

ehh, don't worry about it as of yet. i'm having enough trouble figuring out how to change meh boot logo. i'll get it eventually. what's the risk of bricking my phone by doing this, btw???
 
thanks for the help. this link http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/288029-boot-logo-replacer-repository.html just made it easier on me, for the fact that it took me directly to the .zip, just couldnt get to it from the other one. not yet anyways. now that i have what i want installed, i will continue to tinker with the guide that you sent me to, there are some awesome boot logos in there. i recommend everyone that doesn't know about it, to give it a look.
 
by all means, go right ahead. didn't mean to deter. and i'll bookmark it anyways, for future use. new to forums, forgot that other people find useful advice and tips in here as well, sorry.

Changing the animation is easier (both are easy once you do them a couple of times) you just rename it bootanimation.zip and put it in data/local (i believe, its been awhile) this is all intimidating at first but after you flash a theme or Rom and change a few things in ninjamorph it'll feel easy as pie from then on. The only thing you really need to figure out before you start tinkering is how to sbf
