Help this version of the device cannot be updated

so just got my new s2 plugged it in and got this. what does this mean? how can i work around this?
its my first android so bear with me....

Its because your phone is branded, you need to flash using ODIN. Search google

thanks, if i do flash it with odin, which one should i flash it with? i dont really know the differences between them?

does it matter which product code i'm currently on?

i meant region or country code whatever? does it not matter at all what country i'm in?

and is there much difference between the stock rom that it comes with and kf2?

i have no idea really what this all means, just that i'm on gingerbread 2.3.3 and thats about it.
would someone please advise me on what everything means?
