What do I need to know?

I'm coming from a crap Sanyo Katana. I've been using a cell phone frot eh last 15 years or so, but never had a 'new' or decent one, and my wife and I are both getting the Epic. I hate to say this, but I know very little about smartphones.I've played around a bit with a friends iPhone 4, but that's really all I know. I've been skulking around the forum here learning little bits and pieces, but for the most part, I'm fairly lost on what all these things can do.

Things I'd like to know:

How do the music players work? I know my friends iPhone has iTunes and all of that, what is there on Android that's comparable?

What do I need to know about the video calling? This is one of the main reasons we're getting the phones. We're in the process of moving from Kansas to Texas, and we spend a lot of time apart.

That's pretty much it for the most part. Any advice you have about the epic, or android, or just smartphones in general would be fantasic.

Thanks

Ok, that link is facinating. Thanks.

I'll watch the videos a little later, when I'm on a computer that will actually play them.

One of my major concerns about coming from an iOS device (iPhone 3Gs) is Podcasting. I listen to my favorite show daily via podcast and I'm not sure how I'm going to integrate to an Android device.

Personally i never liked iTunes i just like to do good old fashion drag and drop my mp3s and stuff into a folder called music on my SD card.

Me too! My first order of business with the Epic will be to figure out the best way to handle podcasts.
