Root Thor ics

ooooh, now I am tempted

My only hesitance is that it took me ages to get my tablet back to stock

So, if I want the official ICS rom (whenever it comes out!) I will have a load of messing around returning to stock first.
 
Dude...it is SLICK -
So smooth....and fast....I LOVE IT.
Want the camera eventually for skype etc....but for now...DAILY DRIVER~
 
So your seeing stable use. Not much blue flashing or crashing programs or whatnot. I'm not to worried about the camera don't use it much. I have been watching Thor's ICS since the beginning and even flashed the first two versions and that was pretty bad at first. It sounded stable but to be truthful I hate leaving Flexstriker for now it is a very nice ROM My favorite to date.
 
Well I took the plunge and flashed the ICS last night. Runs quit solid. Don't try thumbs keyboard on it though. It is a pain in the ars to get it off cause it keeps popping up saying it has to close and wont let you do anything cause it pops up so much. But I finely got it off the tablet. But that's no big deal there will be some compatibility with this Os for awhile.

I notice there's Build 95 now.

I am thinking of having a go at flashing ICS tonight.

I assume I can just flash the most recent build?

The reason I ask is that the file is a lot smaller than the usual Roms for the tablet, so I was wondering if the builds are just an update, rather than a full ROM

I hope this makes sense??
 
You can Flash 95 over 94 -
Look on page 250 there is a Sounds fix to flash as well

DON"T FORGET TO REFLASH GAPPS.....

All ok so far :)

What is the Sounds Fix? I don't seem to have any problem with sound at all

Edit: just did the fix and it is a lot louder. Cheers for the heads up
 
enjoy brother...I am holding tight at 94 - waiting for 96..or whatever is next.
Once HDMI out was fixed...this was a no brainer...although I just fount Able Remote...so now I can stream movies from my tablet to my GoogleTV box....no wires needed....SOLID
 
I think the sound on 94 is awesome. Its so much loader than it used to be. I'll probably wait also. At the rate there going at this ROM shouldn't be long for the next update.
 
I flashed build 95 and it seems to work fine.

I did this fix, as mentioned by Mahalo and the sound is very loud.

allthough I've since found there seems to be an easier way to apply the fix

question:

Next time there is an update, do I need to wipe it and re-install or can they be applied without losing all my data?
 
Make a Nan-Droid. ALWAYS!!!

Things have been ok Wiping Cache and Davlik -
But if something is Quirky....Do a full wipe.

Splatoid - Yeah -I am hanging tight on 94 - No Complaints.
 
version 96 seems to work well.

Just cleared cache and davlik and re-installed g.apps 10.5

I THINK it is marginally quicker too :D
 
Yup - I Flashed right over.

Had one reboot about ten minutes after flashing...but has been PERFECT ever since....
 
I went back to Flexter for the time being. There are a few games I like to play on my tab when I stuck in a hotel for the week and they just wouldn't work on ICS without crashing. Ill be back to it soon though..
 
I wonder where they got drivers for it?
I kept reading about something leaked a week or so ago But I really couldn't make heads or tails on what it was or meant to the development of this Rom. I have been out of town so much now days I can hardly think straight. Not that that was my strong suit anyway. Cool about the camera though I will have to try it again in a few days.Probably next week when I get back in town again. Thanks for the info.....
 
It's nice so far!
Camera works fine. Had a data connection (wifi) issue. But a wipe cache/davlic reboot fixed it all.
 
I'm running the flexreaper ICS from the same forum and it is solid everything works on this ROM. You'll need to check this one out.I've been running it since last night and its awesome.
 
So Thor ICS and Flexreaper ICS are the real deal - not just Honeycomb made to look like ICS? I ask because as eager as we all are to see ICS pushed by Acer, those of us who still want to be rooted will then have to wait for a root strategy to be developed before we can use it. But if these aforementioned ROMs are true ICS, then we have it now. :)
 
I have just had a quick look for you... it appears that the download link is on the TegraOwners forum and you have to be a member of the site to access the download link
