Thoughts on screen protectors?

Prior to getting my Revolution, I had an LG Dare for about 3 years and always used screen protectors. I've been using my LG Revolution without a screen protector for about a month now and have encountered no problems aside for the, to be expected, fingerprints. So I was wondering if screen protector really provide any advantage to the new high tech smartphones.

Long story short, I'm mainly looking for feedback from other revolution owners. What are your thoughts on screen protectors?

I've only used mine with the protector and will probably continue as it's nice to keep the screen pristine.

Have had zero problems with the screen protector on.

I have the Revolution and I say always use screen protectors. Just had a friend that didn't use them and her 4 month old phone had scratches on screen from being in purse. I bought mine from Ebay anti glare and covers the full screen, dont like Verizons because most only cover the viewing area of screen

ive been using one from the verizon three pack i bought with the phone.. had the tech put it on right there in store the day i bought it and i have no issues.. the protector itself has a few scratches on it so needless to say if it weren't for the protector i would already have a damaged screen... i had my last touch screen phone for a year and used 2 protectors in that time.. when i took it off the screen was like new.. ill never own a touch screen again without using them

I've owned four different touch screen phones and have never had a screen protector or felt a need for one. I keep my phone in a simple sleeve case and don't toss it unprotected in a purse or pocket with other (ie: metal) objects. I've developed a method of holding the phone a short distance from my face so the infrequent smudge is easily handled by a drop of computer monitor cleaner or a disinfectant wipe. I don't think I use any extraordinary methods, but I am careful not to drop it and I treat it as an instrument rather than an appliance. Your method may vary. - MarkC

I used the Verizon one originally, but want a full screen cover. Tried one I got from Amazon, but hated the sticky feel when trying to swipe.

Which protectors are you all using?

Bought mine off Ebay from a place in California and love them, full cover and anti glare and was easy to put on and we have two Revo's.
A 3 pack Anti- Grease anti glare for $4.39 free shipping. The company name is Cellularbuy :)

Frankly...I'm boggled by people that walk into a place like Verizon, purchase a $500 smart phone at a $350 discount + a 2 year contract...Then proceed to shove it unprotected into their pocket/purse/backpack and then later complain about it getting all scratched up.

The Verizon "Power and Protection Package" for the LG Revolution is good enough with the holster and screen protector.

I can't even imagine using any of the screen protector refills after two months because the holster protects the Revolution so well during daily use.

My LG Revo has a film protector on it from the maker..hehe..my wife slightly ut out where the earpiece and thats it!..still works perfectly..so much garbage on Ebay from China..anything else should be better quality as I had many for other phones in the past

Well I decided to take the plunge and ended up buying a 3 pack of anti-glare screen protectors along with my shell/holster combo from verizon. I love the shell/holster so far, but aren't quite sold on the screen protectors yet. Maybe it has to do with the anti-glare material, but the screen protectors seem to generate a considerate amount of resistance making it harder to make long swipes on the screen.

Thanks for the info! Good to know that there is one inexpensive film cover that works well. I was looking at a Zagg Invisible Shield screen protector, but am hesitant because of the price. Don't want to get it home and find I can't swipe smoothly.
