Thoughts on Updates...

Not complaining, just pointing out that everyone says how happy they are to own a Nexus because the updates come straight from Google and they don't have to worry about Verizon or Samsung messing them up. Yet, this phone has some MAJOR bugs with voice calls/signal. And still no update...

It has me concerned...are we really going to have the "Nexus" way on Verizon's tightly controlled network? Thoughts anyone?

It's been out for one full month. I don't think there's anything to flip out about when it's only been four weeks. I'm pretty certain I'll get faster updates than I did from HTC.

LOL, I'm not flipping out. Just posing a question. Being new to the whole Nexus experience I was just wondering what is a reasonable time frame (especially with the well known/documented bugs with the device).

I hope they are quick...I bet they will be quicker than the combination of Samsung and Verizon that I suffered through with the Charge and Fascinate.

I have not experienced any issues, major or minor, with voice calls/signal. I have a solid grip on 4g no matter where I go around town (Pittsburgh and its suburbs).

Meh I've been running 4.0.3 for 2 weeks now. That's more why I bought the phone, I wanted to be able to dictate what software I ran on my phone, not my carrier.

The international GSM version is on the same version we are.

Verizon is not delaying updates. The update just isn't ready.
