Thread Count / Post Count displaying incorrect numbers?

I'm an owner of a Contiuum and I scan the forum specific to my phone daily for any new posts or threads.

It's pretty easy to identify if there is something new in there because there is currently a very little amount of posts. Why is it, then, that when I see the number climb for both thread count and post count...there actually is no new post or thread at all?

That number includes the All Things Root subforum, was there new stuff put in there that you didn't notice?
