Help Threaded SMS conversations not in order

I seem to be having the same issues someone reported here:

I installed Go SMS app as I started to use my phone for texting and noticed that when texting back and forth quickly they go out of sync.
When texting numbers in order back and forth with another number, they end up showing in this order in my threaded texts on Go SMS and also in the Stock "Messaging" client.

after reading the simillar post above, I turned off the automatic update for time and tried it again and they were still out of order

at times, it even seems to put a time stamp of MY outgoing texts 1minute in the future, before the clock on my HTC has even reached that time!

any help?
any ideas of something I should change or try differently?

handcent SMS seems to show the threads in correct order.
they are still showing incorrect in the Stock Messages app, and Go SMS, so I guess I'll stick with Handcent for now, but still interested in why the times are so messed up on my stock app.
