Root Three issues so far in 2.2, Quadrant and Battery stats page

Since updating to 2.2 (rooted), I noticed three issues so far:

-When trying to run a Quadrant full benchmark test, it gets through the first part with the counting text, but eventually the screen just goes black and I either have to put the phone to sleep to get it back on or battery pull.

-In the phone setting under battery manager, there is a new big button for usage statistics, and when I click it it does a force close saying: "The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

-The root app TeslaLED no longer turns the L.E.D. on. I also can't get it to ask for root permissions and do not see it in the SU list. Yet the non-root app Flashlight makes the L.E.D. turn on, wtf???

Any ideas anyone????

Quadrant runs fine for me and so does the battery manager. Tesla LED does not work though.

Quadrant - 1497

Battery Manger - Works fine

TeslaLED - Nope... :(

EDIT...just rebooted and now I get a force close on the battery manager...lame :(

Before this update, I could have sworn my phone would charge via USB when connected to a PC. Now it doesn't.

Moto's Droid X site has PC charging drivers, try those.

I can't seem to get the drivers to load at all for Charging USB mode or Mass Storage mode - the yellow ! point is still showing in Device Manager (although my phone does charge when plugged in to the PC). But I don't think I can use ADB with CMD from my PC since the drivers are missing...how can I get the ADB Composite drivers to load??

So before I did a factory reset, I shut it off, turned it on, then plugged it in like he said and it worked.

Rebooting now to see if it works when unplugged----and it doesn't. I plugged it in again to see if it worked and it doesn't....

Weird....whats the dilly yo?

go some weird stuff going on with my text messaging. Does it in both handcent and chomp...

Messages will be fine and show correct order

example

me: hey
wife: hows it going
me: not bad
etc
etc

But after the person sends me a picture it keeps the pics at the bottom and puts all new messages above it...

example

me: hey
wife: hows it going
me: not bad
Wife: look at this picture
me: thats a funny picture
etc
etc
-pic-
-pic-

EDIT - seems like the stock messaging app handles pictures just fine....guess I will wait for handcent/chomp to release a fix/update

Droidlight works for me.

Changing USB to Mass Storage enables me to charge my phone through the PC as well as have the SD card accessible.

Sadly, there is still the issue with ADB not working. :D

I'm sure someone will figure all that out eventually, though.

Use the windows media sync option instead.

Airmaxx, my battery manager is force closing again now, great. Any luck figuring it out?

And my sync icon is not going away no matter what. This happened to me before but I was never able to figure it out besides NOT restoring my full backup from Titanium, which I just did, ughh

Oh yeah...

This is hilarious to me now.

PC mode = worthless, doesn't give you access to mass storage, ADB, or charging.
Media Sync = ADB!
Mass Storage mode = Storage but no ADB!
Charge Only = Works as intended.

Wow thanks, Media Sync mode successfully let the drivers install and works with ADB, nice. Weird that the drivers won't install in the other modes and ADB no longer works in Charge mode, hmmm...

Also to repeat:

-AAaaaalso, every time I reboot I get a Force Close on LauncherPro and it works after that. Grr this is getting old already

Quadrant ran fine for me. 1400. Something happened...

Mine ran fine until I updated it. Now it doesn't do any of the CPU test and at the end it force closes. It also choppy as hell. Even though the scroe is better it sure looks closer to me. The animations never go over 25 fps and normally in the 18 to 20fps range.

anyone tried using spare parts yet? it is returning some CRAZY numbers....like the phone has only been unplugged for 4 minutes when it has been MUCH longer than that....

I swear this build is falling apart on me. Everything was perfect....Now everytime I try to send a picture message (mms) it fails instantly and I get a "National Access Coverage Not Available" but I can receive them no problem.....think I am going to have to revert back to 2.1

So far:

Battery Manager Force Closes
Can't send MMS
Got a random reboot
Panadora wont continue playing after phonecall
Spare parts returns weird numbers an the *#*#4636#*#* no longer works
isnt any faster

flash is nice though :(
