Root Three Mobile 2.2 Desire Root

[krishen86]

Sorry for reposting this, but I orignally put this in the wrong folder, like an idiot.

Apologies in advance for making this such a self serving topic, however, I have googled high and low with no luck.

Has anyone successfully rooted a branded* a 2.2 updated HTC Desire on Three mobile?

I tried last weekend, but it didn't work, just wanted to try and gather some more information before I try it again, ie if there are any known issues with rooting a 2.2 update HTC Desire on Three mobile.

Thanks in advance.

* I think mine is, my software no. is: 2.25.771.1
Unrevoked just stopped on the 'pushing root to phone stage', this may have been simply because I didn't restart the PC after installing the drivers.

I haven't made any other modifications to the phone.

Which guide are you using as your checklist of pre-requisites?

I recommend the one I link to in the Rooting FAQ. Have a look and ensure you have covered all the bases.

I was using the Unlockr method.

Thanks for the FAQ, is there one for making a goldcard?
