ThunderBolt 4G has NO GYROSCOPE! means no Cool Nintendo 3DS like 3D effects ! :(

It would seem reasonable that the next step with a gyro would be a 3D display (already announced), as well as the new game control slider as seen on the Sony. I've no doubt that'll be in the pipeline.

This just isn't the target market for the Bolt.
 
Guess what? They put a switch on it for the 3D so you can turn it off because it gives you a head ache if you play it for more than 2 minutes at a time, and Doctors say that children under the age of 7 shouldn't play it in 3D because it could hurts the development of the eyes! Yes this sounds awesome, and I wish they would have put this on the Bolt,,,,,,,,, NOT!

That is precisely the reason why we didn't buy my son the 3D version of the DSI.

But I am sure a gyroscope has a lot more functions than just 3D graphics.

Anyone know if the Samsung Stealth has a gyro?

Funny to see how everyone turns on a person for saying a device is lacking in something. Reminds me of a group of people that lived in a place called Jonestown, Guyana, or a group of people that lived in Waco, TX.

It's a phone people. You don't need to defend it's honor or anything. It's an inanimate object.

I draw the line when people star complaining that a phone is obsolete because they cant play kids games on them. Smartphones are fine but I doubt most people would think the phone is out of date because of a stupid think like 3d games. I use my phone as a tool for multiple communications not games. Not to say its bad to have games but I wont be complaining because my phone doesnt have the latest fad on it.
 
Gyroscopes have shit-all do with 3D. The reason that the 3DS is able to display 3D is because of the GPU and the way the screen is made (it mimics wearing 3D glasses).

OP is a bucket of fail.

Not saying that at all. I just think that there's been so much doom and gloom here lately that it's silly to complain that the TB doesn't have ________ like _______ does.

Ok, fine, it doesn't have it. Get the phone that meets your needs. Why come in here and trample on our hopes and dreams more than VZW already has?

Not true. Gyro provides relative positions to be set for AR games. Check some of the 3DS AR card demonstrations. Has nothing to do with the 3D (which I will not use much, since prefer 2X framerate and better resolution).

That's what I'm saying. The gyroscope doesn't give the 3DS the capability to make 3D images. It's used for other things, but not creating a 3D image.
 
My TB has a periscope, a microscope, endoscope, and when my breath smells, it squirts my mouth with scope.

no gyroscope - but it does have an accelerometer, with which you can play games by tilting the phone.

Gyroscopes are new on the smart phone scene - I'm not exactly sure what they add to a phone's functionality. Accelerometers have been around since the first iphone, hence all those commercials with people playing games by tilting their phones.
