thunderbolt case?

mine is gloss black... argyle print on the inside, but you can't see it at all on the outside. looks like he's not offering those anymore. :(

and a word of wisdom for anyone considering one of these types of cases: DO NOT GET CLEAR! it looks good for awhile, but they always end up turning amber/brown. i have seen this happen to many different clear TPU cases, from multiple manufacturers.

Same can be said about the cheap rubberized white cases. They'll turn any color they get near.

I was just browsing on eBay and there are a lot more choices out now. I like the "S" case and the hybrid cases with the clear plastic and rubber edging.

Do you think they will ever make a case for the TB 2750 extended battery or will we have to make our own like we did with the DINC?

I like my shiny silicone case from VZW as well ; )

Crazy but this $16 case (with discount) is one of my favorites... ever. The blue is ultra cool to look at. It's just too bad that I had to custom cut mine to fit the extended battery.

When i bought my Bolt on the 17th i got the black silicone case form Verizon. It feels great giving a bit more grip to the phone and some protection but the big problem has been its a dust magnet in my pocket so i don't recommend it at all. I'm in fact now going without a case until i find something better.

For what it's worth, I just applied a BestSkinsEver screen protector on my TB, and it looks and feels amazing. Great fit, virtually no orange-peel effect, and extremely smooth to the touch. Best of all, it was the cheapest "quality" screen protector I've seen. :)

I already have the screen protector from Verizon and will be getting the Seido Innocase II from Amazon. Will the Verizon screen protector protect the screen from direct impact?

I purchased

this on eBay and it is great. My only dislike is the swivel belt clip. (Yes, I am a nerd and carry my phone on my belt.)

I have the siedio innocase and really like it. I actually ordered the Active X today after seeing all the people who have had their screen shatter after dropping. It should offer a bit more protection but no case/protector combo will be able to prevent your screen shattering if you drop it.

Has any bought

this case off eBay? It cost $3.99 with free shipping.

If you've bought it, how you do like it?

Edit: Shoot, I just tried the link in my post and got the same error that I get when I try to look mobile1's link in his post above... Not sure why my link above isn't working.

If the link above doesn't work, copy and paste this into the search line in eBay:

BLACK HARD GEL TPU COVER CASE FOR HTC THUNDERBOLT 4G

Good luck,

I wonder how many people are going to hold out for the Otterbox. It looks pretty slick on the EVO, I just wonder what they'll do about the loudspeaker. =X

I bought the silicone/hard dual case that Verizon offered. Pretty sweet IMO, even though this is my first Droid phone and case obviously. Steinheil(SGP) makes some awesome screen protectors, got them recommended to me and so far loving them as well. If you have the extended battery though, the Verizon case doesn't work, heard they might not be making a case that would fit with the ext. batt.

I like the look of the Seido Active-X case, but it just looks like it has a lot of silicone exposed, so it would be hard to get in and out of my pocket all day. Anyone have experience with this case, that can confirm or deny my suspicions?

If I don't go with the Seido Active-X, I'll most likely go with the Case-Mate Pop.

They are both very nice looking cases though.

^^ I'm torn between the same 2 cases.. would love to hear from someone about the seidio active line.

a.) Does the silicone stay tight on the phone over time?
b.) Does it get stuck in the pocket/collect lint ??

I guess I'm looking for a past/current EVO owner to sound off on this topic pls.

Not only would the silicone be an issue with easy in/out of pocket, but the Seido also has a rubberized finished which also would add to the stickyness of the case. Whereas the Casemate has a slick plastic case with only sticky silicone in stategic places where it would help you grip the phone.

I am really leaning more toward the CaseMate. Now I really just need to decide between black or white. Both look very nice.

Slashgear seems to be pushing the BodyGuardz Decorative Armor: HTC ThunderBolt BodyGuardz Decorative Armor Application Demo - SlashGear

I bought this HTC leather Messenger pouch (prefer to pocket my phone and got used to this type of case with my BB) - best price at this link, says for HTC HD2 but they are the same size, TB is .09" thicker: HTC T-Mobile HD2 / T8585 OEM Messenger Pouch -TheCellGuru.com This is a bit snug at first and does add a bit of bulk in pocket. But, from past experience - the leather (and cardboard) softens, stretches and flattens over a little time. It does not offer any protection when phone is out of the pouch. My pouch came and the exterior is soft (like kidskin), inside layer is suede. There appears to be a thin layer of cardboard between the layers on front and back. The edges are just the two layers of leather. Certainly not for everyone but I really prefer these and they do break-in nicely in about a month (probably faster for most - I work from home and only use the case when I go out so mine gets way less use). It does not have a hole for the charge cable. No belt-clip makes for easy pocketing.

I am watching for a super thin phone body cover to offer out-of-pouch protection. BUT, I also plan to get the dock and don't want to have to pull phone from pouch and remove body protection every night to charge. I am sort of hoping the BodyGuardz Armor (linked above) may be thin enough to fit in the dock - but have to wait for the dock to be released and see if anyone posts about dock fit. If no body-case fits the dock, I may just get a stand-alone batt charger.

I'll continue to use the pouch regardless and so far, the BodyGuardz Armor looks like the only body protection that will fit in the pouch.
