Thunderbolt contact issues
Hello, I have a htc thunderbolt from Verizon. I love my phone and don't normaly have much in the way of complaints about it. But...recently I lost all of my contacts that were stored on my phone for what seams to me to be for no reason at all. I have three batteries for it that I periodically switch out because of the short battery life and the last time I powered down the phone switched outw the battery and powered it back up my contacts were missing. I still had my gmail and Facebook contacts. 1)Does anyone have any ideas what happened to my contacts? 2)How I can retrieve those contacts? 3)What can I do to prevent this in the future?

Any help and ideas are appritiated!
Thanks

There might be two ways of retrieving your contacts.

1. Open people/contacts tap menu then import/export - choose import from sd card. If your sync was working ok - you should have all your contacts back on your phone.

2. Log onto your Google account and go into contacts - Your contacts should be stored there.

How to prevent this from happening again... there is nothing solid I know of - except to make sure that your contact sync is backed up every day.

The best way to make sure you never lose your contacts permanently is to have them all setup as a Google contact.
