Help Thunderbolt GPS not working

Well, I got gps status and had to reset and download about 3 times and then reboot my phone and the Navigation/gps locked on pretty quickly, I'm impressed:). I went to visit family this weekend in NOVa and had to use my phone a few times to get around construction traffic :mad: and I got so frustrated that it took forever for my gps to lock and I had the extended battery and cover and that didn't help one bit. I hope this app continues to help my gps.
 
Are they every going to address this problem? I have to schedule my daily nap in for the day when I plan on using the GPS because it takes years to lock on.
 
I'm pretty confident that whatever "patch" comes out will fix this. My bolt took ages to lock onto GPS, but after installing the leaked MR2 release it locks on instantaneously. If I pull up maps, it scrolls immediately to where I am, and if I open GPS Test, it immediately shows a lock on 6-8 satellites.

Now all we need is an official release that contains whatever fix was in MR2.
 
I was worried about my GPS after flashing BAMF 1.8 and it would not lock in Google Maps. After some googling I found a suggestion to just turn on GPS, open up Google Navigation and let it search for GPS for as long as it takes to lock. After about 15 minutes GPS locked and now my GPS locks in a few minutes subsequently.

This has something to do with how GPS works when it is booted up for the first time and needs to search for satellites by region until a correct region is determined.
 
Ok this frickin GPS on the TB is really pissing me off!!!!!!!! It took 12 mintues to lock on today. WTF is up with that sh*$!?!?!?!?!?! Is there any reason why they can't use the technology from the DINC?

What radio are you using? I get instant locks on the MR2.5

It takes me to the middle of some neighborhood not even close to where I'm trying to get to...And yes, it also takes my phone at least 10 minutes to get a lock on my location........Grrrrrr..

You can report these Issues to Google on Google Maps. I do it all the time and it works.

Click the flag
Report problem with map

If everyone does this we might see a positive change.
 
I used the navigation yesterday and it got me completely lost. It took me to a road, not drive and was forty minutes off from where I wanted to be. I was very disappointed in it.
