Thunderbolt Launch Day Speculation/Rumor Thread

has anyone talked to a Verizon store today to see if maybe they have heard anything or gotten an email etc? (slim chance I know but doesn't hurt to hope)
 
Just got off the phone with corporate a few minutes ago, they know nothing about an announcement or a release date. Another complete waste of time. Almost ready to pulll the string and go ahead and get an IPhone.
 
Well I dont see them annoucing it next week then releasing the same week. Who knows, but I just can't believe they haven't announced it yet.

if it hasn't been announced by Friday I think we are looking at the 17th at the earliest. If that happens I will highly consider passing on the Thunderbolt for the Bionic or something else that comes along this summer.

I will probably just end up getting an iPad and keep what I have until the Bionic comes out as well.
 
Didn't someone tweet that phones were being delivered on mon and BB would sell we'd with vow following suit Thursday?
 
Well, nothing today means possible another week but with the 1pad 2 rolling out on 3/11 who knows what will become of this phone. Whoever was told April may not be so crazy. We all laughed at the rep who said it wasn't going to come out until
March. I just don't understand how a company can let these rumors keep flying around. The CFO would have had his butt handed to him in that interview over this launch if WSJ wasn't so worried about iphone sales. Being that I have shares in vzw, not too happy about watching money being lost daily.
 
Was reading some posts over @ xda and one of the guys (vzw csr) said a htc rep was in his store yesterday - long story short , htc said the LTE sim card is not working yet.
Wonder what the next rumor (excuse) will be?? :confused:
 
The announcement everyone was talking about today was simply that they won the JD Powers award. The whole "secret sauce, proof is in the pudding" thing was them patting themselves on the back saying their network was the best and today they would show proof of that (hence the awards).

Guys, the phone isn't getting announced today. The phone has been delayed, there is no ETA lol

I called five stores so far today, spoke to five managers, 3 at VZW, 2 at best buy mobile. All of them said that we should hope for a launch by the beginning of April (hope). lol ~ I want the phone too, but at this point the Bionic is right around the corner (then again, after the bad reviews the Atrix got I am not sure if the Bionic is going to be better than the TBolt).

While I agree that the announcement may not come today, I respectfully disagree with the rest. I just called 4 (2 BB and 2 VZW) and was told "Any day now", "next week" (Both BB's said that) and "we are waiting for the official announcment, but we were told next week". So it looks like things are happening, just not at the pace that all of us would prefer right now. LOL Your post is mere speculation, as is mine. In the end, we can only hope that one of us is right and this phone shows up at all. :)
 
Has anyone noticed that the Verizon Facebook page now requires you to login to see the comments? I refuse to join Facebook and I was checking out their page every day or so and reading comments. I can no longer do that. I wonder if they're expecting a barrage of nasty comments because of more delays or if they're just tired of anyone being able to read the ones that are already there?

honestly I think I am at the point that even if Verizon makes an announcement themselves I wouldn't believe it and would think it was just a dream

I agree, and I think we are all to that point. Hopefully the wait won't be much longer.
