Thunderbolt or Charge

Hey guys this is gonna be my first smart phone. I was wondering which phone should i go with Samsung Charge or HTC Charge. And battery isnt going to be a issue since either way i go i plan on getting the extended battery. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE :(

I like the HTC sense interface. I would look up some info on the HTC sense upgrade on the Thunderbolt. Now, because all of things the sense interface does it is one of the main causes of the poor battery life. I have the thunderbolt, incredible, charge and droid x. Htc has been my favorite. Couple things cool about the Charge. The screen, able to adjust screen brightness. Such as going in the sun and then going inside. Super Amoled+ screen. Gaming, picture taking and watching video is similiar to you watching a Sasmung tv at home. I would also check out reviews on VZW.com and check out the speed between the Thunderbolt and the Charge. Happy shopping. Oh remember you always have 14 days to exchange or back out of it all together. Good Luck!

i have the thunderbolt, i have played with the charge in store but htc sense just does so much more than any other UI.

HTC sense has a lot of custom widgets, it's own cool services at htcsense.com that will offer free services like lost phone tracking, remote phone wipe, etc. HTC Sense also has really great personalization and customization features, all created to be really easy to use. It's an entire level above TouchWiz or Blur or any other OEM UI, imho.

I'm very impressed with the Charge, especially as it has a swype keyboard. Currently I have an Omnia 2, which I believe had the first swype keyboard...well, I'm hooked on swype...the speed of texting is great. I hear that a firmware update on the Charge provides even longer battery life.

But...I've heard about the Samsung Galaxy S II, coming to Verizon soon with the name SG S II Function. Supposed to be the "next generation" phone. If I'm going to buy now that will be the phone. Indeed I think it likely it will have 4G. Lack of 4G will be a deal breaker of course. All reviews of the S II have been wow reviews, so I can't wait for VZ to come out with this phone. I'm allowed an upgrade Aug 2nd, so that will be perfect.......

I ended up going with the Droid 3 and I love it. 4G wasn't available in my area(s) and I figured the dual-core processor would make the Droid 3 last and stay pretty speedy.
