Thunderbolt owner Roll call

got mine in hand.

purchased 12 pm
15 for pre orders-20 for walkins.
there was about 20 people waiting inline for the store to open. i got second to last one. didnt even try to handle it first to see if i liked it. just went up to the cash register and said i wanted to buy one. used my wifes upgrade.

Two year contract no extras. Called at 1:00pm they had 1 1/2 boxes left, pulled up at 2:00pm got the phone set up, which took longer than expected. Make sure your other phone is OFF when they are setting up the TB. Um...20mb down 31mb up.....derp!

got mine! overall, pretty sweet. actually VERY sweet. started a thread about a kind of stutter or vibration when scrolling the app page. wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if it's normal...

easy pick up. i was surprised to see a line of about 6 people when i got there at 8:40. was out of the store by 9:30. :)

Arrived at 10:10 a.m., activiated and out the door by 10:35. One other guy buying one, switching over from Tmobile. I paid $269 for 1 year upgrade (orig. $319), net of a discount from wife's corporate plan, didn't know about that, so was happy. Bought a case, tax, all in $320.

So I went back to my VZ store to get the screen protector, too many idiots wanting to lay their grubby fingers on it so I figured I'd play it safe. When I got there, they had told me that the store had sold out of all its Thunderbolts by 12:00pm. I hope everyone that wanted theirs got theirs. If not, you snooze you lose.

Just picked mine up, went to best buy and lucked out. A gal had called and cancelled her pre-order, so it fell to this guy.

Have had it about an hour now, loving every second of it.

Got my preordered one at 9:30 and got a second one for my step son. Activation took a little bit but was out of there by 10:15.

Phone is way cool.

Time: approximately 12:45 PM EST
Where: VZW corporate
Contract: 1yr
Lines: No but that was because they had a ton of reps on hand.

While speaking to the rep that was helping me, the rep stated that almost all sales today were either an iphone or Thunderbolt and there were plenty of people in the store. Of course you can count me in on both of those phones today as i picked up the iphone for my wife. Unfortunately there is no 1yr on the iphone.

Bought at 10:45
2 Year Plan-$250
No line but did take long time to activate(too many people trying to at once)
No shortage yet.

(the 4G speed is amazing (15 Mbps down/23 Mbps up)

Time Bought: 9:02am PST

Supply Level: 85 total

Just got mine an hour ago.
Lots of people were there buying them and all the Verizon guys had HTC Thunderbolt shirts on and name badges.
Paid full retail  but it's worth it.
Got it at a Verizon corporate store....

There were Thunderbolt boxes all over the place with tags on them waiting for people to pick them up and people that had them and were playing with them.
This at 4.30PM to boot.....

I asked the guy that waited on me how many they sold: his answer: WAY more T-Bolts than iPhones :D
He told me there was a line of about 20 people this morning at the store.

I did not drive by to see like I did the day the iPhone launched and I saw nobody....

In line at 8:50am, 5th in line. Activations were slow. Overheard a manager saying that some activations were taking up to 20 minutes. He suggested pulling the battery and sim and restarting to get it to activate faster (that you'd jump to the head of the activation queue.) Got the car dock, a holster and wanted the table dock but they were out and their warehouse was also out. I can't find one anywhere.

2-year contract, $199

Ordered mine online around 10am, overnight shipping. Still no tracking/confirmation email. Starting to get nervous lol

Picked mine up at 10 this morning at my local Verizon store...only because I didn't know they opened at 9!!!!!

Anyway, they said they had sold ONLY Thunderbolts since they opened, and they had sold about 7 of them at that time. But while I was in the store, 3 other people were buying and activating.

There was some trouble activating though....when trying to sign into Google. For everyone. So they called some "hotline" and found out that for some reasons, activations could take up to one hour. I live 5 minutes from the store and it was fine by the time I got home.

Also ordered an extended battery and multimedia dock, as they didn't have any in stock. They will ship soon.

BTW.....price for the phone on a 2 year contract for me was 199.

Picked mine up at 10am as well. Was first in line. This phone rocks! I came from a Facinate and the speed on the Thunderbolt is extreamly impressive. Also I got it on a 1 year contract for $199.00. Im SUPER happy!

Time Bought: 1:30 EST
Line: No
Contract: 2 Year
Accessories: Silicone case and screen protector
Supply Level: A lot

I was worried that by the time I got to the corporate store, they would be sold out. Not too many people in the store when I got there. I didn't ask how many they had in stock, but it didn't seem like it was an issue. There were two other people having their T-Bolts activated the same time as mine. Took about 30 minutes b/c the sales guy said he just got back from vacation and had no clue what to do. I almost wanted to ask for someone else to help me. ;)

Oh and so I don't seem like a horses arze not following my own original post...
  • Purchased at 10:02am CST
  • Waited for 1 guy already checking out, but got to cut ahead of 2 guys in shirt in tie :D
  • Bought the car mount, holster/case combo (two days earlier), and went back and bought some screen protectors after it was obvious that the phone was going to get dirty
  • 2 year contract
  • Paid a little over $238 taxes included ($199 was the total price for the phone with my NE2)

Add me to the club! Good news, my store wasn't sold out. Better news, my Inc sold for $275 so I profited! TB activation took forever, though.

Got one for my wife and I each. Asked her if she wanted:
-a screen protector = No
-accidental dmg insurance = No
-A case = No

Walked outside and she turned around real quick, the phone slipped out of her hands with the back and battery flying off on impact and it skidded a few feet across the parking lot.... uggg, I didn't even want to look at it.

Picked up at 10AM PST from BB. $249 but after returning iPhone and using my 2 gift cards (thanks BB Corp) had a $2.39 credit.

No line at first, activation took like 30 minutes. There were three people waiting after I was done. I helped Verizon rep sell TBs while we were waiting. My god, I knew more than she did about the phone!
