Why is the TB stuck on the old android market? Will the new market update on its own?

New Market looks like this

**** UPDATE:

Here is the FIX for those who need to fix this issue:

Do what I did

SETTINGS -> APPLICATIONS -> MANAGE -> ALL -> MARKET

Push CLEAR DATA button. Click OK To warning.

In about 30 Seconds the Market was updated to the latest version.

Nope, I havent rooted or anything.

Mine looks like this

Are you SURE you guys have the new one? They both look similar...

do a battery pull and that should fix it.

I've pulled the battery many times since yesterday and no dice.

My Last phone was rooted with a custom ROM and I never got the updated market in my custom ROM either.

I wonder if somehow my Google account remembers I was rooted with my last phone?

Root should have nothing to do with it. All of my phones have been rooted and have gotten the new market. Is your phone up to date? Try seeing if theres an update for it.

I could have sworn mine was running the old one but when I just checked it has the new one. Perhaps it's doing a slow roll out of the new market to people. I know that's how the new market was introduced in the first place.

FIXED!

GOT IT!

I did a search on google and I found a suggestion to CLEAR DATA for Market under "Manage Applications".

Once I did that it downloaded the new market.

Thanks all!

Mine looks like this also. I thought it might be because of using wifi vs. 4G but it looks the same regardless of how I'm connected.

I had the old market when I got the phone and I cleared the market data a couple times and restarted my phone but it wouldnt upgrade to the new version. I just enabled the fast boot feature, then before I turned it off to try it out, I cleared the market data again. It turned on in less that 10 seconds and viola, new market. I seriously doubt there is any correlation between fast boot and the new market but I suppose it could be worth a shot to those who are having trouble updating to the new version.
