Root Thunderstick GB lock screen shortcuts

As long as I have this thread open about Thunderstick, I've noticed a few things that I guess I'm looking for clarification/verification on.

1. Thunderstick is showing TERRIBLE battery life. with NO use(just sitting in my pocket) i went from 100% to 62% battery in less than 3 hours.

2. Camera. I took video last night of some fireworks, but I tried taking a photo this afternoon, and the camera was very.... slow. The screen was refreshing maybe 1fps before i even attempted to take the picture. Then once I pressed the on-screen button to take the picture, it took another 2-3 seconds to actually capture an image.

3. Disk Drive is very intermittent. Rarely actually read by computer. I will have to switch between Disk Drive and Charge Only 2-3 times for PC to recognize. Has happened on more than 3 PCs, so I dont think its a computer issue.

Does anyone have any information related to this? Is this a Root thing, a MR2 thing, or a Thunderstick ROM thing. Are there ways to fix it without flashing a new ROM; because I really like this one otherwise.

unfortunately,all the things that you mention are typical of all the roms based on the GB OTA leak,its not at all an issue with being rooted. keep in mind that this leak was an extremely early prealpha build and is buggy. consequently, so are the roms using it as a base. once we get a real OTA,and kernel source code,the GB sense roms will be 100% better.

some common workarounds:
1)minimize the use of constantly updating widgets,and apps that are constantly running/updating in the background. some people have had success with apps like autokiller(works with the rom to kill unneeded processes-different than a task killer) and green power(turns off radios when not needed)

2)try overclocking to 1.4ghz. some say that helps or fixes camera lag.

3)put your phone in "internet pass thru" for several seconds,then put it in "disc drive" mode. works every time for me. :)

Does that have HTC Sense? You might want to watch it to see if its CONSTANTLY trying to sync. I went through three batteries because it wouldnt stop trying to sync. Ate my batteries like they were hotdogs on the fourth of july.
