Help Time till sleep

Aliloopy

Newbie
My new nexus p6 won't allow me to increase the length of time before sleep. Whatever time I select, it always reverts to 1 minute, not long enough for me.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Does anyone have a solution please?

Welcome to our AndroidForums, @Aliloopy :).

I have a 6P myself, but it just installed the NBD90X build/update and I don't have the issue you're describing.

A couple of questions for you:

1. Have you rooted and/or modified your device?

2. What is the build number (Settings -> About phone -> Build number (all the way at the bottom of the screen)?

@Mikestony, I don't see that option in my Accessibility settings, so maybe not available on the 6P?

If you don't yet have the NBD90X update, perhaps/hopefully that will fix the issue for you...

Thanks no not rooted or modified. Build number is NBD 90X

Yes has been an issue from the start. Can you suggest such an app please?
Well, what I meant by the other app was, sometimes there are apps that can control the timeout for the screen. (I was wondering if perhaps you had downloaded one and forgotten about it).

If this has been an issue from the start, then something is amiss because the device should not do that. And adding an app to control it is not really resolving the underlying issue, ya know?

Has the device been dropped or gotten wet? Have you factory reset the device to try and resolve the issue?

No not been wet or dropped and no haven't tried factory reset.

Thanks for the replies. I think I have resolved this issue. After a bit of faffing around I found that Gravity Screen, an app I use, was interfering with my timeout settings. Solution was to inactivate this app, set timeout to desired value then restart Gravity Screen. Seems to have worked so far!
