Because EA and DICE have decided to be greedy and ruin this promising game, I will be boycotting purchasing it until this is changed. Offering early access, giving the weapons early or special skins for weapons I am fine with. But making the weapons/items EXCLUSIVE to only pre-order games is crossing the line. The unlocks have to be made available to everyone eventually.

This is an example of content rape. Sacrifice content for stupid stupid marketing campaign to raise a couple more bucks. This is not acceptable!!!!!!

I agree, it doesn't matter what the content is, it isn't right. I didnt know george foreman was preorder only with fight night champion, I've been playing since original knockout kings, and feel screwed, I bought it launch day. My 60 dollars cost the same as your pre-order 60 dollars. Those of you that dont agree is what is wrong with this country. Plain and simple. I dont care if its just a hat on the game character, its principle. fascist america sucks dick.

IDK, both games were pretty awful. I'd prefer Brink over Homefront though, that was the biggest pile of shit I've wasted money on.

Rewarding people for supporting the company before the game out is making you rage? You know, as far as retail stores go, it helps get the right amount shipped to you on launch day + extras for non pre-orders. If I know I want a game, I pre-order it so I can pre-load or make sure I get it day one. If I get a little extra for doing so, I take it as a thank you for believing in us here is a token of our appreciation.

lol yeah, that's true. Well Brink isn't too bad, Homefront was just awful. The controls and graphics pissed me off the most and I bet it was due to so much hype and this being the final result. Also it being so much like CoD pissed me off too cause I hate games that just copy another for the sole purpose of making money and when they don't do anything different in terms of being better.
 
I have preorder the game and am glad to be getting the bonus content.

I also am an alpha tester on the game and I have to tell that it is amazing. That have mad great leaps in ever category. I don't know how much I can say, but don't boycott what could be the best FPS of all time.

Will be pre-ordering as soon as I get paid. Was a CoD man but bored of them.

I disagree with that they have made great leaps in every category, and until i see the 64 man conquest, I can't say it'll be better than bf2 ... but it is pretty damn good

i like the map for the most part that we played, but the MOH mechanics suck
 
I never really understood the whole boycott thing.. Especially with something like a video game.. I mean i know people who don't buy sports games because of the player they stick on the cover.. It just makes your the idiot without a great game in the end....

And here's where my intense love of DICE comes into direct conflict with my hatred of EA. DICE is making an epic awesome game but EA is messing it up with stupid stuff like this. PC games are already nearly a memory and EA's BS isn't helping.
 
Awesome, now I'll have Origin just for BF3 and Steam for everything else. Thanks for being so greedy EA that you couldn't suffer that small cut Valve took on Steam, even though you have a monopoly on Sport games and are way bigger than Valve.

Just found out this is NOT getting local multiplayer option, meaing if me and my boy want to play together I'll have to get 2 copies?? May have to get MW3??

Well EA/Dice is claiming that Steam makes it difficult to update the game which is why they are going Origin only, besides the fact that the game will not have an in game server browser or menu.

BF3 will launch from a web page, as they are trying to turn the game into a social experience, which I find stupid, because COD kiddies like to DDOS BF stuff.
 
Last I heard, the Physical Warfare pack will be FREE for everyone at some point. People who pre-order the game will get it early, everyone else will have to wait a couple months to get it. However DICE wants it to be FREE.


DICE has NEVER wanted their DLC to cost money, they dont believe it should. Its EA that sometimes changes that idea. However, the last I heard, the Physical Warfare pack will be free for everyone, just pre-orders get it early.
