My Droid has been acting up a little lately. For one thing, the face sensor is very messed up in that the screen keeps flashing on and off during calls, causing my face to hit the end button. Also the battery life seems short. It lasts a day. And if I don't plug it in at night, I'll go to bed with 100% power and wake up to 30%.

I don't have very many apps running, I don't have a task killer app (They slow the phone down, from experience) and I don't have any home replacement apps (Also slows the phone, from experience)

Are there any fixes to these problems, or do I have to go and replace the phone?

Before you return anything, try doing a factory reset and see if anything changes. Though I seriously doubt bad battery life is due to an app, even with only a few apps there could be one causing your other problems. Use it for a day or two after a reset. If it still has problems, don't mess with it, get a new one.
