Root Time to S-Off

Well I've had this phone since July and enough is enough.. I struggled to gain root, but this forum has been (for the most part, minus the flamers) very helpful.

I've got a custom-designed paper clip, with electrical tape covering the middle. I'm really just waiting for my battery to be 100%, per that unlimited.io site.

I've downloaded their "windows icecream sandwich, virgin mobile"

And I guess I'm about to uninstall all the htc sync...Hmmm.. Maybe I ought to put that on a flash drive, so I don't have to sweat through that again, if my s off doesnt work.

Any thoughts? I mean I'm going to follow all the rest of the instructions... But this is a big deal for me. I'm not as technically savvy as 99% of you

I have a guide here that has some tips and references for the wire trick. I'm not suggesting that you use that guide since you are rooted already, but you might find something useful in the tips and references for Step3 (the wire trick).

Just follow the instructions. All but one of us (theoretically) used them, and very few have messed anything up.

It doesn't take being tech savvy to connect one piece of metal to another using a long, flexible piece of metal. Just insulate it, and keep a steady hand.

jeez Dave... It took me 5 months to get the courage to S-off.... I'll have to find a youtube video that shows THAT part LOL...jk.. I should... I hate that some of my texts don't go through... I'll look into it.
