Time to say Goodbye!!!!

Before Android my previous phone was also windows mobile. The only thing I missed was the easy ability to sync my outlook work calendar.
And I miss messing around with the registry. That was fun. ;)

Regarding to weeks to learn Android, seriously?
It took me weeks to understand how it worked and what I needed to do to make it work better for me. Searching up apps, configuring it, etc. It's not the OS, but the other things around it that you also need to think about. Every person has a different learning style and some can pick up things pretty quick, while others will take a while. So it's going to be dependent on the individual as well. Not everyone will learn the same way.

But I agree that if someone moves on, that's their decision. Just wish them the best of luck. No need to poke fun or say bad things about it.

.....
I don't understand why people get angry or defensive because someone says they don't like Android.
Android is not my child, it isn't a family member, and I'm not married to it.
If someone doesn't like Android, so. I'm not going to insult them or try to convince them to see things my way. If they ask for help that's different.

I wish I could like this a million times!

I also migrated from a Windows mobile phone and saw that as one of the basic features that was missing in Android.

I quickly got companionlink and can sync with my outlook perfectly.

We don't have rights to install software on our work machines.
I have to export my calendar to a file and import it into Google which of course then syncs to my phone.

I been rocking on the Note 2 since launch. I absolutely love this phone. But I can see where some may have trouble with it. It is all a matter of opinion. At least this guy gave Android a chance rather than the typical fanboy that bashes Android without trying it. As much as I hate Apple, I have recommended the iphone for some people. It is all about what they are looking for in a phone and I have not had any complaints from anybody. I wish you the best.

Another iPhone user here (6 years) who recently came to Android.

First the GS 2, then out of contract, upgraded to the Note II.

The first two weeks migrating from Apple to Android is difficult. You need more time.

However, once you figure it all out, you realize how confined you were under the iOS system. Android is not perfect, but I have a phone with a HUGE screen and lots of customizing ability.

This thread is turning into another pointless apple vs android argument... the op made his choice let's just lock it and let it die and accept the fact that what works for us doesn't work for everyone else.

^This.

And for those who missed it - around here we attack issues and not other members.

Over 20 posts deleted due to bickering, quoting the bickering but not bickering, and just for being in the wrong place trying to keep it sane while others spoiled it.

For all those thinking that name-calling and bickering was a good idea after my post and a better idea after the second mod's post, don't be surprised when I infract you for disrespectful posting. And so there's no issue - don't even think of arguing about how the guy was more wrong.

Phone makers are not our friends, family members or our dogs.

If someone spends their hard-earned dough and isn't happy, it's their consumer right to get what works for them without a load of screeching like someone kicked the family dog.

OP - AndroidForums.com is sorry for the behavior here and wishes you best luck. :)
