time without signal?

Does anyone know what this actually means? Does it mean that 50% of the time my phone does not have a signal? That is the percentage shown when I click on Cell Standby in Battery Use Details. Should I be concerned? I had an issue tonight where my girlfriend tried calling me a bunch of times and got my voicemail.

I was having the same issue recently, see this thread:

I say "was" because, for the last few days, everything has been fine again! Not really sure what was going on with my phone but now I either get no 'reading' or it shows 0%, which probably means I did lose signal but for a negligible amount of time.

FWIW, I charged my battery to full, and pulled it off the charger, before heading to my mom's house. I live in a "full bar area", but for whatever reason, get 1-0 bars at her house, a mile and a half away. My battery, good for 36+ hours of my normal use, dropped to 15% in about 3 hours while there, where it would sporadically display 1 bar of signal strength.

If you are going to be in a low signal area for any extended length of time, keep an eye on your battery level.
