leroydroid, that's great CTMOD 3.75 works, I plan on installing it in a week. I have Linux and Mac computer will that make a difference(my Marquee has the stock ZV9)? So there is no issue with it "freezing after 40 hours"?Sprint CTMod 3.75 is working great on my ting marquee so i'm happy here too.
Thank you very much for checking that out.In case anyone wondered, the Marquee's for Ting seem to use the same rom as Sprint. a couple of guys uploaded their stock backup so I could look at it.
I'm happy here...we just picked up a Marquee referb to go with ting. Also have two other marquees we use with our SERO plans.
Forgot to apply the $50 credit, sent Ting an email and had the credit applied in minutes - unreal! Love to company's attitude toward hacking, etc...
Went this route to use the Airave we already have, will root and apply the Sprint CTmod shortly thereafter...

No problems with the 40 hour freeze. I think it's probably a governor issue. I keep mine on lagfree/deadline and have gotten very good battery life as well.
I'm watching ting for their byod status. If they get that worked out soon, I'll consider jumping. But as time goes by, I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with cdma in general. 4G/LTE looks like it's carrier specific and breaks things even further. A nexus 4 with a tmo sim is looking really attractive right now...
Did you use this link to root the phone?: http://androidforums.com/marquee-al...-your-updated-lg-marquee-phone-step-step.htmlJust finished customizing a CTMod install on my mom's new LG Marquee (Boost Mobile exterior, Sprint software) on Ting. It took a bit to get the firmware downgraded/root applied, but beyond that things were smooth sailing.
CTMod is a night and day difference vs. the standard LG software...highly recommend it. Since it's based on the stock firmware (more or less), everything works...just quite a bit faster. Sure, it isn't ICS, but for around $95 including tax I can forgive the phone for not running the newer OS.
Would I give up my Galaxy SIII for the Marquee? In most circumstances, no. But for the three members of my immediate family who don't mind toting smartphones but also didn't mind using the LG Optimus V, this is a great replacement.
