Root [TIP][CM7] A2SD to S2E (DarkTremor a2sd uninstall Script)

Hey all!

I wanted to share the script I made to uninstall DarkTremors A2SD script. Apparently there really isn't any good uninstall method for it unless you use the command /a2sd remove. That doesn't fully get rid of the script and all it's files. I wanted to COMPLETELY remove A2SD from my phone. This means scripts, logs, and all files related to it. So I made a script to do this :)

Please note this only works for CM7!! I'm not entirely sure for CM9.

If you want to go from A2SD to S2E for CM7 this is what you have to do.
Follow these instructions exactly!


  1. Make a backup of your phone using CWM. I don't care if you already have one, do it again. I don't want people complaining that something went wrong.
  2. Download my A2SD Uninstall script. dt_a2sd_uninstall.zip
  3. Put my A2SD uninstall script on your SD card to install later with CWM.
  4. Download S2E and install it.
  5. Launch S2E and press the menu button then go to Settings.
  6. Check the box for Mounting SD-EXT as EX4.
  7. Go down to the import option and click it once to import the Darktremor A2SD settings.
  8. Reboot your phone and go to CWM
  9. Select 'Install from SD' and select my A2SD uninstall script.
  10. When it finishes reboot your phone


That should enable S2E without having to keep the files associated with Darktremor A2SD around. It works perfectly for me and I was able to go back and forth between A2SD and S2E easily.

I have been trying to download file for 2 days. I have used several browsers and download managers. I get corupted file everytime. Mediafire is always a problem for me.

HOWEVER.........since this thread is almost a year old and many things have changed, if I would be you, just wait a little, until someone who knows CM7 very well ( like our "CM7-authority" : LordVincent ;) ), answers you in this thread and gives you a "green light" to use this script. You don't wanna brick your phone, don't you ???? ;)
 
Thank you. I have an optimus m wiith cm7 on it. And have been trying. To get rid of a2sd for a week..I have ,canibal open touch recovery with backups.As long as it doesnt flash into my recovery iit should be ok.This a2sd has been nothing but a hassle for me. It came preinstalled in my rom.. Thanks again for the upload. EDIT... just looked at the uninstall script. It wants to mount ext4 systen and data. I am not sure if the paths are right. But gives me a list of files to manually remove if i have to.
 
This is the Samsung Prevail Section................ You got a totally different phone, so the script might not work ( I don't know that ).......... Usually all the ROMS, scripts, etc. are tailored for the Prevail !!

Might want to get help in the Optimus section....
 
Ya i know what forums i am in Just had to venture beyond optimus forum for info. The optimus forum isnt a busy. I have been every where lookin for info. I think i found tge Odexer apk from prevail forums .but as i said i now have a lisr of filrs to kook fir. Which is hekpful.
 
Well, hopefully you won't brick your Optimus !!! As I said before, this info is phone specific and might does damage to any other phone ( But I don't have a clue about this script, maybe it's universal and you can use it ! )

Just be warned..... And don't cry if you brick your phone ! ;) ;)
 
Thanks for repeating the warning of bricking But as I said I have a list of files inside script to look for in my rom to delete manually.Gonna start now.But dont worry i have my crash helmet on incase i fall down. Lol but seriously thanks for writing the script ,putting up for download and reuploading for my convenience.

Yes i am aware of all this. I guess was a general thank you to the community. Anyways i seem to now have link2sd in full control
