Root Tip---msl-easy way to get

If you are using an Android and need your MSL number to access your phone’s configuration menu, you can load up a terminal emulator (piles available in the Market) and run:

getprop ril.MSL

BAM! It should spit back your 6 digit MSL number.

there's also an app, "Get my Msl" takes under a minute and worked for me. switched prls multiple times with the number it spit out. I got my number then uninstalled it, cuz its useless after that

wish there was a switch my prl app and another app that would tell me which one to use that would be the best for your area

There is a guy somewhere around here claiming he's pulling 80 gigs a month from Boost. I want to know what prl he's using to get that kind of speed. I need to find that post.

WOW!! That's some serious usage. Do me a favor and let me know if you find out the info.:)

No way I would ever use that much data but the info would be good to know.

Sorry. Not this forum. Over at HoFo
What Does Boost Mobile's Unlimited Data Mean?

Look at post 4 and some of the subsequent posts. Post 14 has an interesting point too.

I want to know what PRL he's using to pull that kind of data and what speeds he's getting. Please also note the date of these posts...

I'd like to ask him a few questions.

The msl is the unique reprogramming code for your phone.

If you want to erase all your information off the phone, or you need to put the phone into diagnostic mode to try out some things then you'd need the msl code. You cannot get free/cheap service from Boost with the code and another person knowing the code cannot do anything with it.

The main thing that most people do in diagnostic mode is change their prl. The Prevail doesn't like to respond very well to other read/write commands.

there a mobile Odin. maybe there way to do this too. seems like that should be easier to do then making your phone rewrite itself without forgetting itself
