Tips for going from the 2GB microSD to an 8GB microSD?

I want to swap out the 2GB card with an 8GB card, but I have a question:

If I copy the contents of the 2GB card to the 8GB card, will everything work correctly or will some of the programs look for the original 2GB card?

You'll be fine. I went from the 2g to 8g only because I couldnt find anything bigger at the time. Transfered everything from one to the other and didnt miss a beat.

I went from a 2gb to 16gb. no issues.

Just swapped out the 2GB card for the 8GB. I copied all of the files and like you stated, no problems at all.

HTC says it will support cards 32g and as fast as Class 2.

Its unclear if higher class cards will produce increased read/write speeds, but in the end, it couldnt hurt.
