Root Titanium Backup & Installing Custom Rom

I'm going to install a custom rom onto my phone and I was wondering if I restored everything from my stock rom to the custom rom would there be any problems? If it would cause problems which of the things that are backed up should I not restore?

Backup the data and app itself of any apps that aren't system apps or google apps. If you've already done a backup, don't restore Google apps or system apps. If you see any restored apps glitching, force close and open them, it happened to me a few times.

By the way, the gingerbread roms aren't a big deal, I'd suggest sticking to Froyo, works best.
What makes froyo work best on the MT? The only difference I've heard between gingerbread and froyo is that the HDMI only works on froyo and not on gingerbread. Is one version laggier than another?

They all have their benefits and their annoying bugs. I like CM7 best, and I do not think that the 2.2 ROMs do anything better that I need. You should test out your choices and figure out what YOU like best. You don't have to listen to anyone's opinion (especially mine) about what to run on your phone, just use what you like.

yeah and personally i like froyo better just cause of the battery life.

also when you restore in TI backup i started selecting app only instead of app and data had a little trouble with some apps awhile back but ever since i started doing that everything restores fine

I thought that 2.3 would have a better battery life. Is it okay if I restore system data with Titanium Backup after installing a custom rom?

Okay, I won't restore those haha. I'm going with CM7! Even though the HDMI doesn't work with this rom it won't matter as much. The only time I'd connect something to my TV would be the PS3 and my laptop.
