I guess there are no basic instructions for TB except a quick video.
Can anyone please answer a few questions for me? I screwed up before, lost a lot of stuff, and don't want to again.
All I know to do before flashing things, is to "back up everything". Okay, but...
1) The b/u should be on the external card, right?
TB's default is Internal. Change this to ex?
2) What is a prolile? Do I need to create one for anything?
3) Does TB b/u my media? (I don't know if media is data). Or do I need Titanium Media Sync (App) for this?
4)TB says I have only 73 out of 615mbs of free ROM. Is this like a 4th storage? (Int-2g, USB-12g, Ex-8g, and ROM??)(and RAM?)
Why is ROM so busy/full?
5) Are there any fundamental basics of TB that I better understand before I start flashing ROM's around assuming I can commit no foul because I "backed-up everything"?
6) What does Nandroid preserve as opposed to TB and how do the two integrate together throughout the ROM download/ROM recovery process? I ask because another option in TB is to extract data from one or to the other (something like that).
7) Where are these answers? Or is there just a cut and dry 1,2,3 and with that I can start flashing away and leave the rest for the tricksters and custom neato tech stuff that you guys can do?
I know not all answers are cut and dry, and I'm not asking for a college education in micro computer programming.
I just want to be vaguely secure with my basic set-up (that takes me about 24 straight hours to set back up when I screw up)(and loss of unreplacable media) being safely stored away somewhere so I'm not afraid to experiment with different ROM's.
I do know that nothing can stop a hard brick if I push a button at the wrong time or don't follow instructions exactly.
But I would rather the screw up be from an unfortunate event happening rather than me not asking the question that was really nagging at me to know the answer to but I was afraid to ask dumb questions so I went ahead anyways.
So, thanx for any advice or suggestions.
Always muchly appreciated.
