Root Titanium Backup question

if I use Titanium Backup, do I just want to back up my user apps, or Backup all user apps + system data? I am going to format the phone and update from LGB v7 to LGB v8, but dont want to loose apps/settings/text messages/etc.

you need to backup all user apps, not system data.

locate your messaging app and backup the data on that as well, then once its loaded just restore data

but if your going from LGB .07 to .08 there is no need for a data wipe or cache wipe
