Root Titanium Backup When ROMing Question

Titanium Backup Question:

I saw this (http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...all-my-apps-settings-when-switching-roms.html) but I'm still confused.

If I SBF, Root, Download all the apps I want, set up my screens exactly how I want them, do I then just go into TB, click Backup, click Batch and click Backup all user apps?

Does that option include settings? (Like Go Launcher setup, Agenda Widget, Etc)

I want to then just flash a rom, and restore to TB All User Apps? That way I get the setup I want, and the benefits of the ROM?

Am I doing this wrong?
 
Yes, I believe it does exactly that. It gives you the option to back up the application itself and the data or just the applications.
 
Im confused about the option: system data. It earlier threads people have said to experience problems when restoring that information in new roms.
 
Yeah, I've read that too. I use it to freeze apps but I have only used it to restore apps once. I use Go Launcher and it kept some of the settings. I prefer to back up on my own and really only use it for freezing apps. I don't mind manually installing my apps but it is getting a bit tedious.... I'll probably only do apps only though.
 
Restoring system data works fine when your restoring back to the same ROM. I've had nothing but problems trying to restore system data when on a new ROM. But he batch backups for user apps works great. These days, though, I'm with Pete. I only use TB to freeze apps. However I'm using AppExtractor now to pull apps, settings, etc. straight from my nandroid backups into my current ROM.
