Root titanium backup?

Morning all. Right, just a quick one, when I root and run titanium backup to backup all apps and data, then do a nandroid backup, then backup my SD to the pc, then run gparted to install the ext, can I then just put the new formatted SD back into the phone (with Rom, gapps, and darktremor saved on it) then perform the flash,
So my questions are, do I have to download titanium again from the market or can I just save the apk and install it from that?
And is it better to copy the full copy of the SD card back to phone? Coz there are loads of files on the card for apps I no longer have? Obviously I would need to copy the nandroid backup, titanium backup, sms backup files, and my media files. Or is there an app that can remove all non associated files?
Cheers all.
Oh and mandy, Susan don't give me a hard time, I'm getting there, and I broke a nail this morning!

And is it best to do a wipe before installing Rom?

Since I'm not Mandy or Susan, I'll give you a hard time, okay? :D

Are you doing this with a card reader? And if so, why?

I do tend to use a card reader yeah, is it better to this using just the phone as hard drive? Any more light you can shed on my other questions?

You can be betty if you want? :D

Betty sounds good to me, darlin'! :D

I just used my phone, less things to go wrong imho!

When I did what you did (rooting etc) I copied everything to my comp. did a Nandroid, partitioned and then loaded my new rom.

With TB, I just downloaded it again (beware that when you start it it'll maybe tell you that you need root, just hit "problems" and it'll install Busybox and you're good to go!)

MyBackup Pro for sms, mms etc.

Cheers, ill do that then, can I get the link for gparted from your Sig? (in on my phone so can't download yet if it is)

Always wipe before installing a rom. Depending on your rom it may start installing apps for you automatically CM7 does sometimes if it remembers. If it doesn't titanium is the only one you'll need as you can restore all your apps from there so as long as you copy all your Titanium files in your repartitioned card there is no neet to bring any other phone related stuff with it. Whatever media you copy is your choice.

Like everyone else around here you seem to be hung up on making back ups. I take a Nandroid when I remember and titanium backs everything up once a week and the world aint stopped spinning yet.

Those nails can be a real bitch cant they?

Ha ha, cheers guys (and gals) I suppose this time next month ill be as clued to as you lot, well I hope so anyway, all this kernel stuff and what not is going straight over my head.
Another one then, is a gold card really important?

I reckon red polish tonight with my little black dress! ;)

shouldnt i do a nandroid then backup to pc as i will then be able to put the backup back on the sd card?
You're not wiping your sd card now are you? ;)

You do your nandroid (which isn't called Nandroid anymore) and keeping it on your sd card!!

As long as your phone doesn't lose power, there's not much that can go wrong!

Just take the leap and do it!

Ha ha, of course I believe you, but I've already backed up my sms and mms, so do you reckon ill be ok with just TB? And yes I am excited! I can't wait till I install all my roms and things, just getting grief off the Mrs for "pissing about too much" lol.
I've done the nandroid so just the TB to do, I've burned the gparted to disc so only got to backup my SD then run gparted, copy contents back then wipe, install all zips, restore everything. And hopefully I'm done. What's this terminal thing I've git to do to get DT to run app2sd? Mega confusing, also how do I move davlik cache to SD?
